Its such a beautiful resort with so much nature and scenic views

An incredibly beautiful location overlooking the Zambezi. Beautiful lodges.Ours was very spacious and luxurious (the secluded outside bath was amazing). We were looked after by our lovely valet Yvonne who was attentive without being intrusive. Together with our guide Obie they put together some amazing experiences such as lunch on an island in the river with an amazing view.   Obie was very knowledgeable and put together an itinerary that matched our interests - being on the edge of the Falls and seeing the baby rhino were especial treats. 

The staff are all so friendly, the views stunning, the rooms luxurious, the food delightful and the experiences offered will live long in the memory. 

It was the perfect ending to our journey through Botswana and Zimbabwe. We’d definitely recommend ending  such a journey on a high here as very convenient for Livingstone Airport too.

A great place with excellent facilities and staff - Jato And Phixon in particular were everything you could want in a personal valet and guide
One day we saw the Victoria Falls - in rain and sunshine - in the morning and in the afternoon walked near to white rhino
Evenings could be spent overlooking the Zambezi listening to the hippos not far away, drinking the excellent wine and eating the fabulous food

A wonderful riverside lodge

We had the most incredible stay at Tongabezi to start our honeymoon! The entire staff was so welcoming and friendly, especially Agatha and Lawrence who made our stay so special. Some highlights of our stay were the sunset boat rides and Victoria Falls walking tours, both with Lawrence. In addition, the food was delicious! We’d highly recommend a stay here!

This place was the highlight of all time... The fact that they treated us as family made it so easy really greatest service ever. Met the guide Called Africa same as my surname so we share a name it was really nice meeting kind people like them. ❤️

LOVE, ROMANCE, FRIENDSHIP & FAMILY

What can I say? Outstanding personalised service from the minute we touched down at Livingston airport.  Our guide/driver, Douglas, whose knowledge of both nature and the history of the area, was on call and willing to take us wherever we wished, whether it be a river cruise, trip to the Falls etc.  Our personal valet, Veronica, was always ready and smiling whether it was for drinks on the deck or towels and tea at the pool.  The food was excellent, and the chef even went to the bother of preparing us special Zambian dishes of Mopani worms and Kapenta our final the night, which my partner had specially requested.  The lodge is at a lovely location on the banks of the Zambezi, each cottage has a deck overlooking the river and set apart in the lovely lodge grounds.  The lodge has its own organic vegetable garden to supply the lodge, and I spent a delightful morning with the head gardener exploring the grounds.  Quite frankly I can't wait to return.

A little bit of heaven besides the Zambezi.

We came here after 4 nights at camps in Botswana and this was the perfect place to finish up our trip.  The rooms are ultra luxurious and the service is fantastic.  We were a group of 5 and stayed in 3 of the river cottages.  The fitness center was a great find as was the private instructor there who made sure the workouts were a good antidote to too much food and several days of sitting on game drives.  We had dinner in a private dining room over the river the first night and on the deck on the second - really lovely settings and wonderful meals.  The food was excellent!  Our valet, Rita, made sure that everything we could want was provided and our guide, Phixon, made sure that we had a wonderful time.  A sun downer cruise on the river with drinks on a little island was a perfect first activity.  We had a great tour of Victoria Falls the next day with an incredible stop on Livingstone Island for an exhilarating swim at Devil's Pool above the falls followed by an outstanding lunch there.  It was great to get a sense of the Livingstone community from Phixon in our drives to the Falls and the airport - very impressed by Zambia and would love to go back!  Thank you to everyone there and Happy New Year! 

Loved Everything About It

We went to Tongabezi and Sindabezi for 4 nights (2 at each camp). We started at Sindabezi which had a rustic yet luxurious charm and then we went to the more deluxe Tongabezi. We stayed in the Birdhouse, It had a plunge pool and an outside bath on our own private deck facing the river. Our personal valet, Augrey, made sure all our needs were met with a big friendly smile. The food was delicious and I was never hungry. All our activities were organised for us and all we had to do was enjoy the ride. The guides, captain Felix and Orby, are knowledgeable and happy to share. We were really made to feel relaxed, special and spoilt. Thank you Jacky. There is such a 'feel good' feeling about the place and we really felt it when we visited the resident school. We left all loved up with each other, Zambia and Tongabezi.

A very special place indeed.

Tranquil, breathtaking & relaxing lodge on the edge of the Zambezi. The staff is surely the lodge’s biggest asset! We were a group of 6 ladies, who thoroughly enjoyed the lodge.  A visit to the school is a must, what Green Safaris do for the community  is clearly visible, and that is what Green Safaris is all about - community. Rooms are beautiful and spacious , I enjoyed a deep tissue massage on my deck - loved it!

The best on the Zambezi!

We recently returned from 4 wonderful days at Tongabezi and Sindabizi (2 days in each camp)
We went first to Sindabizi which is definitely the right way around as it is the more rustic of the two lodges. We arrived just as the sun was setting and had to bomb along the Zambezi river with Captain Ronald avoiding the many hippos and rocks. We arrived at camp and were very pleasantly surprised with the room. It has no doors so whilst you have a net around you, you can hear the orchestra of the animals around you. You do of course have a roof above your head thankfully. I have to admit that I didn’t sleep that much on the first night as I could hear Lions in the distance on the other side of the river bank as well as Horace the resident hippo close by. We did Sunrise fishing with captain Ron and a whole host of activities in between the two lodges. We also did a Sunset trip on the river where we got charged by hippos. They are pretty scary to be honest but Ronald knew what he was doing.
Whilst at Sindabezi, we were looked after by Nyambe, who took care of all of our needs as well as washing all out clothes from the previous place which was a nice touch. Timothy was responsible for things on the island and was very knowledge able and had a nice way about him.
We then moved to Tongabezi. We had the bird house which is a stunning huge room with a lovely deck with a direct view on the river. We had a load of monkeys who would play on the deck in the morning. Every need was taken care of by the lovely Yvonne. She is simply amazing and made our stay very special. After quite a busy few days on Safari the day before, we were happy to chill a bit and spent some time by the lap pool which was a welcome break. They have a fully equipped modern gym and what was a very welcome surprise is that they have an on site personal trainer called Ernest who will do complimentary 121 training. This was such a nice touch and he worked me hard. So much so , I booked another session with him the day after. Ernest is a great guy, keen to please and really took care of us as well.
There were two highlights, one was the Devils pool trip with lunch at the Vic falls but the most unexpected was a visit to the onsite school Tujatane . The founders of Tongabezi originally set up the school for the kids of the staff but they have expanded to include local kids. My wife is a musician so we attended one of the music classes. She started to play a few chords on the keyboard of Pachelbel canon and to our surprise, the kids all started singing along. It was a moment that we will cherish for many years. What they are doing at the school is very noble and we will do our best to support it.
At both lodges, you are given a different table and space to eat your meals all the time which gives you a different perspective of all the different areas and it’s a nice touch,. 
The food was absolutely excellent and the chef would come and chat to us every night along with Lawrence who would arrange the following day’s activities.
I literally cannot fault this lodge. It is in incredibly special place where the staff to their best to make you feel like kings and queens. If you couple this with the breath taking scenery and the abundance of wildlife and incredible sunsets then I would not hesitate to recommend this place
