Hoa Bao Hotel

We have booked 10 nights through booking.com - very attractive price! Reasons for choosing this hotel: no tourists just locals because would like to investigate local walks of life, close to the beach and some sightseeing. The first impression upon arrival was not positive: mold in the corners, basic room facilities. Pluses: free Wi-Fi; welcoming staff who were willing to help and assist even without knowledge of English (we used electronic dictionaries); cleaning and changing linen daily; towels were new; possibility to sit outside on the common terrace and have tea/coffee, etc.; at the reception heater was available 24 hours so we could drink fantastic Vietnamese coffee; furniture is made of a high quality wood; rent motorbike - for 120000 VDN (around 7 $ per day); location to the sea and a sandy beach - just across the road; sea food cafes are just around the corner and prices are attractive. Minuses: our room 204 was very close to the noisy A/C base; motorbike was very old; on week-end locals from Ho chi Minh came and made too much noise, hard pillows.
