Sapa Paradise Hotel

We were given a large room on the 2nd floor which was clean and tidy with a King sized Double bed. it was furnished with an LED TV, closet,two arm chairs and a coffee table,sideboard, mini fridge and a room safe. They had very soft pillows and clean sheets. It also came with its own split level air-con. it also had two umbrellas in the closet for your use in case it rained outside. Two bottles of mineral water and an electric kettle was provided but no complimentary tea / coffee making facilities.The bathroom had good hot and cold forceful shower and was fitted with the "Rain Forest' Shower Head as an option besides the normal shower hose which was really awesome.This was one of my best showers in Vietnam during my current tour. We were provided with two large bath towels,hand towels and an array of toiletries not expected of a 3 Star hotel. The downside to this hotel was the buffet breakfast as it had very limited choice. slices of bread,hard boiled eggs,butter & jam ( both dished in bowls ) and Pho ( vermicelli soup) on request. Ordered HALF boiled eggs and was served HARD boiled eggs. Language was a big barrier as they hardly speak a word of English except for the Manager Mr. Quyen who spoke reasonable English. PS.(1) I spoke to Mr.Quyen on the breakfast served and and advised him on what should be the minimum types of food expected by foreigners. He was very appreciative and being new thanked me and said that he would take note and ensure that future breakfast layout would include other dishes suitable for foreigners. (2) I also spoke to him about providing complementary tea & coffee making facilities to all rooms as this was now the norm. He immediately got housekeeping to deliver the tea & coffee sachets to all rooms ( Our group occupied 11 rooms) and also confirmed that he would from 1st October 2015 provide complimentary tea & coffee sachets in all rooms for future occupants.( Would appreciate feedback from future occupants)
