Clean, fully functional, good food & great staff everything you need. 

Everything you need in a simple clean hotel. It isn’t the fanciest in the area but has the friendliest staff and the food was the most varied and hearty food we had in Sapa! It isn’t right in the centre but a 2 minute walk away from the middle so no issues with location either. 

Would recommend. 


We stayed here as part of a tour and it was very nice. They picked us up from the train and gave us the use of a room on arrival to hav a shower and then breakfast, Omellete or fried eggs and baguettes and fruit and fruit juice.
when we got back from our morning trek at 12 Mdday, our room was ready. It was on the 4th floor but it was worth the walk up the steps. The room looked straight out onto the mountain and you could see most of Sapa. It was lovely to wake up to in the morning.The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. They had an area to leave our big bakpaks while we took our smaller ones to the homestay.
After our next trek and overnight Homestay they allowed us to have another room to have a shower and clean up and supplied us with some sandwiches to take on the train.
They organised a pickup back to the train.
Not sure on what deals you may be able to do but it is worth a look in Sapa.
Only minor problem, staff do not speak a lot of English.

Sapa Global hotel was a good small hotel that located on a mountain, i and my friend book this hotel with Booking.com for special rate. Hotel staffs were emailed for pick up at Lao Cai station, they were all friendly and ready give any information about Sapa and local lifestyle.Our room was small but truly clean, they cleaned it up everyday for our 3 days staying here. This season was good for traveling here. Would recommend it.

Small Hotel

After night train, mini bus to Sapa, being dropped off in a dark street, told to "follow me" upstairs in the dark, lead into a dark dingly foyer, filling out paperwork and then being told we could shower, in Room 101 before breakfast would be ready at 9am. All this at 6am in the morning. Well Room 101 is used for all and sundry on their day trips and those off trekking. It was  freezing cold room you would not want to strip off to attempt the shower.. so I curled into feotal position on the single bed mattress (no linen) and wondered what in the hell have we booked. After attempting to snooze, we migrated to the dining room, which was also freezing but had a "charcoal pan" smouldering, breakfast was 'buffet style asian cuisine, not so yummy. Then back upstairs to the foyer to meet the tour guides and off we go.. On return same same... I'm sure there are better hotels, to book into in Sapa. We had booked a package deal through Hidden Charm Travel and everything was organised. Would travel to Sapa again on my terms and investigating all accommodation options. This hotel is old, as we only saw the "transit" room we've no idea what the other rooms were like, hopefully warmer and more welcoming. I have camped out before and been more comfortable.

Drop Off Point for Weary Travellers

Stayed here in early Dec 2012 as part of a trekking tour for 1 night. The rooms were modern, but there were no heaters or fireplace (it was warmer in the homestay!). The rest of the hotel, including the restaurant area, was pretty cold too. The staff at reception were professional enough, but not very friendly, and the staff in the restaurant kept forgetting to bring our dishes out. Not recommended.

Cold rooms, unfriendly staff

I booked a tour with Sapa global in Hanoi and therefore had to stay in this hotel. The good things: the room was big, breakfast was ok, the guide was really good.
Bad things: I had no hot water and it can get very cold up there, the bathroom was disgusting and the tour was poorly organised, we had to wait for hours in the cold for busses for example. Book somewhere else, I heard great stories of others!
