We stayed here as a stopover before the ferry to phu quoc island and we had a large room that seemed very clean. The highlight of my stay was the rather interesting bathroom tile. Picture attached.The staff didn't speak English but were very forgiving when I butchered their language with the phrase book. It was about 30,000 vnd to get to the ferry in a taxi and it only took ten minutes in the morning. I would recommend it.

We haggled and shoppped around for an inexpensive hotel room in Rach Gia on our way from the Mekong Delta to Phu Quoc island. The bus from Can Tho dropped us off 2 blocks from this hotel. It was clean, although who knows when they last washed the comforter, no top sheet. Big, huge wrap around balcony facing the street, A/C, an actual shower stall not just a drain on the floor near the toilet. We agreed on 270,000 dong ($14) upon arrival for 3 people/2beds at 9pm, but they wanted to charge us more when we wanted to pay and check out. We stood firm, paid the original price. The staff have very limited English, but were nice and booked tickets for us for the Phu Quoc ferry, 320,000 dong.

Best near the bus station when you arrive from Can Tho

The hotel itself is ok and is standard for Vietnamese guesthouses at 200,000 Dong (10usd) per night incl fan, cable, big double bed and (in this case) a wonderful private bathroom.  I stayed here coming from Phu Quoc to Can Tho and wanted this place specifically because it is very close to the bus station which is at the end of the street this hotel is on.  If you want to be closer to the ferry terminal then you will need to get closer to the river or pay for a taxi. -maybe 50-750000 Dong or 50,000 if you are a solo traveler and want a moto.

The staff at the Hotel don't speak any English and as this is a little bit out of the way from the river, most of the locals don't speak any English either but there is a nice little market around the corner that you can eat at very cheaply (about 1 dollar) by just pointing to the food and they are very friendly.

So all in all this is ideal for someone going the other way i.e. Can Tho or HCMC being close to the bus station but you can get similar priced guesthouses nearer the river front for Phu Quoc.

Its all about location with this one.

We didn't intend to stay here. We searched for Kim Co hotel (recommended by Lonely Planet) and Priceline.com directed us here. We were really confused by the location when we arrived by taxi from the bus station. 

The rooms are very basic, but had everything you would need for a quick stay. Breakfast wasn't included in the price. There was a cockroach in the bathroom and a gecko in the wardrobe. The shower was powerful. Everything seemed clean, not spotless but passable.

The owners were friendly but didn't speak a word of English. 

The location was just off central, which was probably more favourable as the bars in the towns can get loud.
