Stay duration is 5 nights, from 14th January till 19th of January 2018. Hotel arranged a car for our family from Airport. Check in was quick, the guys in reception were very polite. Very warm welcome! Electric car (Tuk-Tuk) took us to our villa (2 bedroom villa with a lake view). Villa was very nice and new. All the interior design was fascinating. We enjoyed our family stay very much!

Amazing vacation experience in Phu Quoc

Booked a 5 night stay in Feb 2018.  1st time in Vietnam.

Positives:
The staff - extremely friendly and helpful.  As mentioned in other reviews, English is limited...but we are in their country...so its up to us to learn a few words and be patient.  Had no issues in the end...just sometimes took a few attempts to get our request across.  

The Villas - they are huge.  We booked a 1 bedroom villa, which turned out to be a 2 bedroom villa with the 2nd bedroom locked.  Large lounge, dining and kitchen area.  1 en-suite and a 2nd toilet near the front entry.  High ceilings help make the rooms seem large.

Negatives
Food selection at the buffet was a bit limited - only one restaurant was available during our stay for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A lot of the hot food was warm or even cold.
The in room info said there is room service available, but no menu.  We only found out on the 2nd to last day that we could order from a snack menu at the small bar near the restaurant.
They really need to make a map of the hotel and put in the guest info pack.  We just started walking everywhere to see what we could find.
The pool in our villa wasn't working when we arrived and there we about 10 workers in our back yard for the 1st 2 days.  We asked to be moved so we could have some privacy in the pool but was told they would move the workers instead.  They left the next day, but then a 2nd set turned up the following day and started using a brick saw.

Overall a very quiet resort, at times it seemed we were the only ones there.

Stunning property...but dissapointed

We purchased an opening special package luxury and Vinpearl Paradise Villas exceeded our expectations. Our villa was superb, large comfortable and very well appointed. The villa was serviced twice daily during our stay. Each villa has its our pool, large enough for a relaxing swim which we enjoyed each day. The resort also has two massive outdoor pools. Strangely they were rarely used by other guests. The resort also fronts a very clean yellow sand beach. We read some reviews which suggest it was not clean, but our experience was the opposite. The beach was spotless. The resort is massive with 540 villas. Getting around is easy as the resort supplies a fleet of tuk tuks, oversized golf buggies to move you around. We never waited more than a few minutes after calling for a pick up. Our package included two meals daily, served from a large dining room. The quality and variety was very good. We were originally worried we we would become bored with the meals but there was enough variety to find a gem each day. The food ranges from universal buffet/bbq to Asian stir fries, soups and Vietnamese standards like Pho. It was nice to find tray bakes like lasagna to compliment the Asian influenced dishes. The staff were consistently amazing across all areas of the resort. We don’t speak Vietnamese and there patience I understanding our English was humbling. We must learn some Vietnamese before our next trip. Phu Quoc is quite a large Island and we would recommend venturing outside the resort as there are many interesting places to visit. We booked a car and driver for a day and had a really great day tour the southern end of the island. A night trip into Duong Dong is also worth the 45 minute shuttle. Eating seafood in a local restaurant was a highlight. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 nights Ikin Vinpearl Paradise Villa’s. Hopefully it continues to mature and grow for others to enjoy as much as we did.

Very relaxing well appointed and spacious villas

There are so many positives about this resort but the experience was overshadowed by the fact that the majority of staff struggled to understand simple English. I have previously been to other parts of Vietnam and had no problems communicating.

Positives:
1. Stunning main building and accommodation was breathtaking (3 bedroom villa with ocean views).
2. Christmas Tree Lighting event was beautiful with entertainment and complimentary food and drinks.
3. Very clean facilities and staff were constantly ensuring that the resort was kept immaculate 
4. Airport pick-up and drop-off well organised
5. Life guards on duty at pool and beach so very safe for children

Negatives:
1. Staff failure to understand and speak English nearly had me in tears in the first 2 hours of our arrival as our booking was incorrect. We had booked an ocean front villa and when we arrived we were put in a villa by the lake. When I told them that I was 'disappointed by the mistake'  the staff smiled and nodded at me. They never offered to upgrade or fix my booking.  I had to ask to be upgraded which they then charged at full rate (even though the resort was empty) and they didn't transfer my 'breakfast and dinner' option to the new booking which meant when we went for dinner they tried to charge us and also wouldn't allow us to charge drinks to our room.  This resulted in another visit to reception to try and sort our booking out. 
2. As the resort was nearly empty there was only one restaurant open which had the same food for breakfast and dinner every day.  When I made a comment to the staff they offered to allow to use one of the other restaurants at the Vinpearl Golf Resort but this was the same food again.  The food was lovely and fresh but 7 days of the same thing was tiresome.
3. The resort is so large that you can't walk anywhere easily. You need to dial for a pick up by the 'tuk-tuk' ie golf cart.
4. We had a complimentary massage booked and unfortunately the staff couldn't work out where this was (the onsite spa didn't do massages so we had to be taken to another section of the resort ~10minute drive in the tuk-tuk) and we were 40minutes late to our appointment. 
5. Drinks were expensive compared to other parts of Vietnam.
6. The pool bar was not even open most of the time and if you ordered food it was made at another location and driven to the pool!  

This resort will be fabulous in the future once it develops its staff to accommodate foreigners and more guests are there to warrant more restaurants to be open.
At this stage I would tell Westerners to stick to a resort on the mainland of Vietnam as it is a beautiful country with beautiful people.

Absolutely beautiful BUT also absolutely frustrating

Magnificient beach, fabulous scenery, good food. Vinpearl land anf Safari are must-visit places. There are free shuttle buses to and from airport, to and from Dong Duong rown, even from Vinperl to another hotel.

A small minus point is that the villa had an irritating smell due to fresh paint.after that, we moved to another room
