In March I informed you that this institution was completely abandoned, and you still propose it. It is ridiculous! What is the use of the comments we take care to write if you do not take them into account.

This is unbelievable!
I saw the signs for Moon Resort hidden behind a utility building.  The office or reception door was broken open and a dead telephone was inside.  The restaurant was boarded up.  But VERY curiously, someone (possibly the owners) were running a shady-looking beach bar, possibly on the property.  MOON RESORT IS CLOSED!
Hotels.com says I have a "billing issue" and is not refunding my money so far.  If you check their website (January 8, 2017) for Moon Resort, Hotels.com says "We have 2 [rooms] left ..."  
How can this be happening?

THIS RESORT IS CLOSED and HOTELS.COM took my money for it!

We booked this resort through Agoda. We arrived this evening with out three children to find it closed- and we heard that it has been for six months! The local shop owners said this has happened several times before - Agoda evidently continues to make bookings for a closed resort! Very irresponsible business practices all around.  

We arrived to a closed resort. 

Like I said already, the Moon Resort which we found by accident without booking beforehand is really the best resort on Phu Quoc. You can walk to the night market (may be 15 minutes) and you have direct access to the wonderful beach (this is absulote no standard on Phu Quoc), you have the best beachbar (with WiFi all day and night long), the beach is like golden sand and the water is so clear you can see every sandcorn without diving !!!! The staff of the resort is really nice and helps in every possible way, whatever you may need! The beach parties organized from the resort boss were always amazing, excellent buffet or BBQ on the beach, everytime bonfire and light and sound at the beach bar, really incredible!!!! Also, we were invited by the boss even to the NEW YEARS EVE party and danced like hell barefoot on the sand! We intended to stay at this resort apprx. 10 days but could not leave before 1 month and even then we did not really want to leave.... ! The bungalows are built in a marvellous garden with lots of flowers, banana trees, palms and ..... the whole resort is built with so much fantasy and loving attention to the nature:) every little detail is just wonderful! The boss and his familiy are so nice, the gentleman at the reception and even the gardener and the women selling the fruit on the beach are like family to us and they treated us like we belonged to their familiy! We just loved it! We want to say thank you again. For sure that we will come back next year !!!! We stayed at the MOON Resort from mid December 2016 to mid January 2017!!!

the very best resort on Phu Quoc, very romantic, very best staff, most wonderful bungalows, very best beach :)

It's a nice place with cool bamboo cabins. It's being planted every day. It feels like a tropical rain forest. But there are also stable stone cabins. A point of departure because the water is cold and it's a construction site next door. But the cold water is almost warm again or it's doing well because it's really warm. In our cabin there was also a gecko. He made a lot of noise at night. Overall, it's a place for bakers and adventurers. Nothing for people who love too much luxury. The price could be a little cheaper. Everything else is nice. Many restaurants nearby. And the beach is also right next door.

Not bad.

One of the worst resorts you can book, the resort, including Bar, is just a beachfront resort, Ballerman Beach in Phu Quoc, where tourists are bused to avoid in the future.

Pros: Location.

Cons: Just look after the place.

We tried 3 rooms. First one was a dilapidated, filthy hut with the roof shedding debris on the bed. Second room was a concrete unit with broken a/c. Third room had a big rat poop right on top the toilet. Enough said......we left. Can't get our money back.....owner said to talk to Expedia for refund. PS. I Saw 3 rats in the courtyard when I went to pick up our luggage to change to another hotel. There are lots of reasonably-priced places on this island. No need to stay here. Owner has good location so is probably just waiting to get bought out by a resort.

Filthy, Neglected and Worse

TV is not working, light goes off every now and then (air con obviously follows). Hot water is "not working". The staff cannot even find your key sometimes. 30$ for a double with no breakfast is a total nonsense.

Worst service ever

We had already booked from Germany for 2 nights. Unfortunately no refund. After arriving we definitely didn't want to stay. After consulting with the manager, a refund was not possible. Then we booked a bungalow with air conditioning for 100,000 dong more per night, because we didn't feel comfortable in the wooden bungalow at all and were afraid that the rats would come through the holes in the floor. The stone bungalow already looked much better, only from the outside unfortunately. The room wasn't cleaned, it was a disaster (see bath photo) and you have to shower there cold. Are gone after a night. Really not to recommend!

Better spend a little more money

We had to change a bungalow because there was no hot water and the air conditioning we were paying for didn't work, there was no wifi either. After we changed, wifi but still no hot water for 10 days. Nothing was working properly, the bungalow was very dirty, in 10 days not once did someone come to change the sheets or do the cleaning.
