Mia Homestay

In a place that is full of high end resorts, Mia Homestay is a refreshing exception and is a great place to stay for a more authentic feel. We stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the place, the price and the location. Mia and her dog Mi were both delightful. Mia was open and friendly but not intrusive; if you want help she gives it. She was kind enough to reconfirm our boat trip for us and organised us a taxi to take us to the departure point. Mia Homestay is close to the beach and is close to plenty of bars and restaurants. In fact there are a couple of good ones right on her doorstep. The room itself was basic but spotlessly clean and reasonably spacious. The bed was very comfy. Everything that used electricity to function worked when the electricity worked, which was sometimes. It was never off for long periods though. This is an Ong Lang problem, not a problem unique to Mia Homestay. And though it was far beyond her control, Mia was very apologetic about the power cuts. When the electricity was functioning, the fan, the A/C, the wifi and the hot water all worked well. In fact the wifi worked better here than in the last five star resort I stayed at in Spain. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this place and highly recommend it.
