I gave this place a chance, it looked pretty good from hostel world. Nothing flash but it was good for a night or two while I explore Hue on my way up to Phong Nha caves. When I arrived the man at the front was kind and showed me my room on the 4th floor. I didn’t mind that I had to walk up so many steps or that the mattresses were hard. The thing I minded was the service from the staff the next day and the conversation I had with a boy from he UK (the only other customer there). They had neglected to tell him about any of their services, such as free towel, that they offered one free beer for the guest at happy hour, or that the hostel included breakfast. Seems a bit odd. But then the morning after my second night I was yelled at by the staff for requesting a second coffee (a service they advertise on their website). Yelled at. I’m not one to usually sound so petty but the lack of any effort to make the stay enjoyable was appalling. They didn’t even clean the bed from the boy from my first night who had checked out. 
Over all, uncleanly, unfriendly, would not stay again.

From a solo traveler

We stayed from 2-4-2019 to 4-4-2019. Clean. Lovely setting in the centre of Hue. Very friendly, helpfull staff. Good advise on where to go.  Great place to stay. BEWARE: please beware of con-people in the hall of the trainstation of Hue. They look very professional with uniforms and a badge. They offer you bustickets in the stationhall itself. They claim that the trains are fully booked to Danang, since there is a lantern festival in HoiAn. It is a total fake since there is a lantern 'festival' in HoiAn every night.
Besides: the traintrip from Hue to Danang is beautiful

We stayed here for our time in hue, and it was really well equipped for us. The beds were comfy and generously sized, as was the room, we had our own fridge in our dorm room, and the bathroom was satisfactory. The only minor issues was that it was a little dirty and the shower was very small. However the host was really kind and friendly and helped us out with our questions. Overall a good stay.

Great hospitality, really lovely people. Basic brelfest but enough to start your day. 24he staff, welcoming friendly and always willing to help with questions and tourists advise. Never trying to push tours on you and genuine people. My friend was sick in Hospital and they kept his gear for free 😁

Great hostel & private room.

An elegant building equipped with commons rooms (dormitory ) and normal accommodation , where the courtesy and kindness of the manager are excellent but all the structure need a real strong overhauling and maintenance.
Room Lighting system very poor with still old neon as for general light  and no reading source light close to   beds.
Bathrooms also with peeling bath, without cap or sketch for bidet missing and restored by the manager after several warning to , supposed wife!
For sure , only after a re fitting this hotel may be will well visited by travelers.
Price of course out of line due to above mentioned reasons.

Only for the Owners!!

The hostel is located in the middle of the party/exit district of Huē. So if you just want to go to bed after a few drinks, this is the place to be. Not far from the perfume river. The old imperial city can be reached on foot from the bridge. The rooms are very generous and very clean. Breakfast is included in the price. The operators are very nice. They speak good English. I can only recommend it further!

Top price/performance

We spent two nights in Ngoc Hung. The rooms are clean and simple. The AC worked perfectly and breakfast was included. The operators are very friendly and helpful. I was sick during my stay and had to go to the hospital. Everything was described to me wonderfully. Otherwise, the operators were always ready with advice and action.

The room was infested with red ants (the ones that sting!), several cockroaches in the corners, air conditioning running at 40%. Avoid looking under the beds, you'll be scared.

Dirty hotel.

It's a small, basic hostel, bunk and sdb okay, but the difference is the reception: very kind and helpful staff, reception in the hotel with fruit and a small bottle of water.

We spent two nights at this lodge, the double rooms and the dorms are completely fused, and you can smell that too, although we got another discount and the free breakfast was fine, and yet never again!
