Thuan Phong Homestay

We stayed here for some days with another couple. The family was extremely friendly and helped us to arrange a lot of stuff during our stay.  They have bicycles for free and you can also rent motorbikes. Will definitely stay here again when we go back to Hoi An!

We stayed at Thuan Phong on the recommendation of friends who stayed here for 3 months. Their recommendation was absolutely correct!! Huy and Luong are great hosts - as is Luong's brother who sometimes stands in while Luong and Huy are at their "other" jobs. We had the deluxe room upstairs (#3) and this gave a us a nice view over the local football pitches where local teams practice and play on a regular basis. The room was very large - with a large double bed and a single bed. A large desk allowed me to set up my laptop and notebook to do computer work. BTW - the internet connection here is great too! A large bathroom, bedside tables and chair completed our "home". There was a balcony - but always too hot to enjoy through the day. The AC unit made sure our room was at a comfortable temperature. The water in the bathroom was HOT HOT HOT! The simple breakfast (eggs or noodles, fruit, coffee is enough to get you started for the day. Free bicycles means you can visit old town Hoi An or enjoy the countryside. Motorbike for rent means you can go further afield. They also offer a laundry service (30,000VND/kg) and you get it back same day. Huy and Luong have 2 children that are very "guest friendly". Best part about this homestay (other than comfort and price) is the hospitality of the hosts. Cannot recommend this property highly enough!

Ended up staying just one night here after our previous hotel booked out but wished we had stayed the whole time. 

We got a room really cheap last minute and it was awesome - spacious, clean, modern, comfortable bed, really nice bathroom, speedy wifi, breakfast included and friendly staff. Cant really ask for much more.

Downside is its about 15 minutes from hoi an old town, and theres not a whole lot in terms of dining in the area. Regardless, the area is traditional, quiet and clean and we were just really happy to be in such a nice room. We rented a motorbike and rode in to town - easy.

The family is extremely friendly and helpful. The house looks brand new and so do the rooms and furniture. The room and bathroom was super clean and the bed big an comfortable. They even gave me dinner for free. Breakfast is served outside and one can begin his day easy and relaxed. The Hotel is in a small town a few minutes by bicycle from the old town. I really did like the place.

I am an Australian Volunteer living in Hoi An for 1 year.  I lived at the Thuan Phong Homestay for 4 months.  My wife also came and stayed for 2 months. I loved the area and the local community. The owner Huy and his wife Luong are fantastic people. Very genuine and caring family.  They certainly made me feel as part of their family looked after me very well.  Nothing was a hassle to organise and Luong is a fantastic cook.  I not only got to share their family culture and village lifestyle but more importantly it gave me the experience of living in Vietnam that I was ultimately searching for.  I would certainly recommend spending time at this lovely home stay in Cam Thanh.
