We stayed here for a week. The room was ok, no desk and not many furnitures to accomodate your stuff.
The room was cleaned almost every day and we could communicate with Google translate.

No breakfast is included, but that’s alright. You’d like to try the different restaurants everyday anyway. The wi-fi worked very well.
We payed around $14,5/day.

We didn’t try the restaurant or the spa. 
The parking was great! Helpful staff!

Nice hotel - good wi-fi 

Im got a best time ever in that hotel, friendly, good food n' nice place. If go to HCM City again, I'll come back here. ~15$ n' lowers / room 2 ppl / day, hmm... Its really cheap for nice, clean & old place to travel n' looking for Vietnamese life style. 

Nice & clean 

When you have to stay for a longer time in HCMC and you do have a bit if time, then the Go Vap district is a good alternative for district 1. It is only 1 hour and 7.000,- VD with bus 18 to the center. The bus goes every 15 minutes and till 18:00 you can be sure to return home. It’s also a nice ride. But soon you will discover the charm of the Go Vap district. 
They do have several restaurants that make delicious food and they are much cheaper than in district one. There’s also a big market where you can by almost the same products as on the Bến Thành Market, but cheaper and you have all the time to look around. They explain you everything without trying you to sell something on the first minute.  They do not have many attractions, but you can walk very nicely trough small streets, very relaxing. The Pylos hotel is a good start for this. It’s a good clean hotel with modern rooms and very friendly personnel and small shops very nearby. They will lend you a knife to cut the fruit you bought and downstairs in the lobby there’s hot water for coffee or tea. 
After just a few days all the neighbors know and great you, and very soon they invite you for tea because they want to know where you come from. In the evening  you can walk around, have some coffee or other drinks or you can watch tv. It is HCMC, so you often can listen to cai luong (once you start to love it, you can hear it the whole day), or zapp through the 70 canals they have, including several English speaking ones (with movies).
Also fascinating is the watch the original Chinese historical soap series, they are dubbed into Vietnamese, but because there wasn’t so much money, it is done by only one woman who is doing all the text.

Go Vap district is a good place to stay

The hotel is a year old, so it still feels clean. The standard room is smaller, but comfortable. The staff is helpful and nice. The location is a far distance away from District 1 and District 3. The hotel is in District Go Vap which is quite boring
