We stayed one night in the Monaco hotel to be on the main land for a flight to Ho Chi Minh. We travelled from Cat Ba Island. Very nice hotel and rooms/suits in the middle of town. Very clean and the staff were friendly. Only the reception staff spoke English. A very relaxed town. Next door to the hotel I had the best message I've had in Vietnam. We went to a coffee shop "Coffee 42" on Minh khai, the own kept bringing us free sweets and fruit to taste and it was for free. The kids had a great time are the amusement park on things they would not be able to go on at home. It was a nice surprising town and relaxed. Very hot at mid day.
