The rooms worth the price, staff are extremely friendly, they always willing to help and ready to get review from us to imrove themselves, great location very near the ancient town and all the services are handy. We highly recommend you staying there

Staff extremly fun and helpfull. Free mineral water - which is a big deal in Vietnam. Best breakfast I had in a hostel. Rooms are relatively small so you don't have to room with as many people as most hostels require.

We stayed here 4 nights in a double room with private bathroom. 
Both room and bathroom were clean and the staff was friendly.
But the reason why we never wanted to leave this hostel was the amazing breakfast, especially the pancakes with chocolate sauce. If you have the chance, try them! We're still dreaming about them sometimes...

Our original hotel (Tribes Hostel) had overbooked and told us there was no room for us so they took us to Hop Yen Hotel. The women on the front desk was so lovely and helpful, she told us loads of places to go visit and helped us book a bus to Nha Trang. The rooms themselves were clean, had air conditioning and ours even had a balcony overlooking the street. The free breakfast was nice and there were quite a few options to chose from. Overall a pleasant stay

I think this is a good option if you get a room with a balcony or large window. The balcony room was very nice, especially for the price. We were happy to stay here. It is very central and the staff is good. They keep your passport, which I didn't like at first, but in the end, I think it's better locked in the safe than anywhere else. The staff is always at the front and they offer all kinds of travel and excursion services. I peeked into some of the inside rooms, they were equally as clean and nice, but the outer rooms would make a big difference in your opinion of the place. This is a very decent option, and right in front of a fancier hotel, so you may have views of a fountain and beautiful garden of that hotel. The money exchange and travel agent directly to the right of the hotel (as you exit the hotel- to the right) is really really nice also, accommodating and honest. 

I stayed in the dorm for 3 nights and was very comfortable. Some of the staff are more helpful than others but it was never a problem. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, towels and maid service included in dorm. Location is great, only a short walk from the old town, and the hotel rents transportation to suit your needs. Only issue I encountered was a few of my dorm mates having small things stolen (toothpaste, soap, cigarettes) but I don't know if this was the maid or another hotel guest.
