While it is a bit further from the airport, and not in the nicest section of town, this is a very nice hotel.  We stayed here for a night on the way to Santa Elena de Uairen (to climb Roraima) and another on the return trip.  Three friends,each with a single room for about 12 dollars per person at the exchange rate I got.

The lobby was modern and nice, the rooms were clean and well air-conditioned.  The beds were very comfortable, and the water was hot and had good pressure.  The wifi worked, and had ok speed. 

The food options nearby were not extensive, though there was a street food stand across the street that did a pretty good cheesesteak and another about two blocks away that had a bunch of locals eating hamburgers.

Long story short, if you are the kind of person who enjoys local color and don't mind a bit of a dodgier neighborhood, this hotel is an excellent option.  I would stay here again.

Clean, pleasant property outside of the city center

This hotel looks great from the outside. When you get to your room, you're impressed that there is a very large screen TV and a computer. Rooms also seem quite clean. Unfortunately, everything is not what it seems. The TV did  not work in my first room. After 2 staff members tried for 30 minutes, they moved me to another room. The TV did work in the new room but the computer did not, the keyboard had some keys that did not function. The breakfast buffet was pretty mediocre. They had tea bags but no hot water. When I asked for hot water, they microwaved some water but it was still only warm the first time and they had to microwave it again. If these were the only problems, I would have probably given this hotel an average rating but the constant noise from some place down the road, the sliding door with the shaky glass, and the worn out bathroom makes me give this place a poor rating.

Excellent Looking Hotel

This is a very nice hotel, clean ample rooms with TV, radio, PC and free wifi. More important COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST. Friendly staff and well located. Room service is not very fast but satisfying. The receptionist fixed me a taxi driver who took me to all the important natural places. They have a hall where you can set up meetings or work with colleagues
