This was a very nice hotel and not a bad price. The rooms were large and spacious. However, the bathroom was small but worked fine.  The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel is within walking distance of the famous museum in Nukus and a couple coffee shops/restaurants and a great Turkish restaurant around the corner.

Great place to stay, with friendly English-speaking staff and good breakfast options. Rooms are spacious and fairly well equipped. They have their own tour agency, Ayim Tours, that is also recommended.

I book a stay at the jipek joli hotel thru booking.com however I didn’t know that their couple of jipek joli. I end up staying at their newest building located very close by to the inn. The hotel is very new, spacious rooms, excellent and helpful staff. I had to leave very early so I didn’t try breakfast however I order some dinner and their prices were very affordable and very tasty. I can t mention enough how helpful the staff was.

I stayed here one night in April 2019 (and another in Jipek Joli Inn). Both the hotel and the Inn (around the corner) are within 10 minutes walk from the main (dare I say: only) attraction in Nukus itself. The Savitsky Museum, which indeed is not to be missed! Rooms are modern, comfortable and well-equiped. Breakfast nothing special but among the better ones that I had during a 3-week trip through Uzbekistan. What makes the hotel special is its staff who speak English quite well and are extraordinarily helpful. They seem to realise that most individual travellers usually don't know what else to do once they have seen the museum. And they come up with genuinely interesting suggestions. It helps that the same company also runs an excellent tour agency Ayimtours; and, really, I am not a tour agency person but this time it was most certainly worth it! The Jipek Joli staff are pro-active and may well contact you before arrival with  suggestions. Contact is maintained by the  super efficient and ever-charming Gulya. A word of warning: by the time you start really looking forward to meeting her in Nukus, you will find out she's based in Canada!

We stayed one night at this hotel while visiting the museum which is within walking distance. It looked a little austere from the outside and the lobby too. There are steps up to the entrance and there is no lift up to the rooms. 
Inside, we were pleasantly surprised by the size and facilities in the room which I think was 209 (at the top of the stairs). It appeared to have been refurbished recently with lighter furniture that included a sofa, two chairs, a coffee table and a full sized fridge. A kettle and cups and packets of black and green teabags were supplied. It must be said that we were the only ones in our group of six that had the tea and coffee making. When asked about this the receptionist told our guide that they couldn’t afford to put this  in every room. 
Although the bed was huge and super comfy, sleep could be improved if the curtains were designed to close over the full window instead of being merely decorative as the voile curtains let in the light and the heat of the sun. 
Breakfast was adequate with bread, cold meats and cheese, boiled eggs and a limited amount of fruit. Items ran out and the staff needed to be asked for things that were missing instead of checking and replenishing them as a matter of course including basics such as teaspoons and bowls. They also didn’t clear tables often enough. After finishing our meal we then saw an Italian group ordering omelettes and other eggs that we didn’t know were on offer. 
From the hotel you can explore Nukus on foot. It’s an ordinary working town with cafes , shops and the bazaar which is very busy and accessed by the bus station. As a foreign tourist you will be a curiosity, people will talk to you and children will practice their English on you, in a nice way.

I had a lovely 2 days tour with this agency on a trip to the Aral Sea. We were staying in a yurt 30 meters under the lake surface of 30 years ago. The southern part of Aral Sea is a must see because it is disappearing in maybe 10 years because cotton plantation. On the road to and leaving the Sea, we also saw old cemetary of Russians and Kazakhs, a landslide, a ghosty village used to be an airport, residence of a lonely fisherman and home of a hermit herdsman. These are pure shock to my eyes. 
Although I must say the boat cemetary in Muynak is a little bit disappointing because the boats are collectively placed in an area like a theme park. I would hope to sea real "abandoned" boats on the sandy waterbed by the lake.
Lastly, I hope other means of economic activities, including tourism, can bring prosper to Karakalpakstan to help them alleviate reliance on cotton plantation. This is probably the only way to restore the Sea.

We stayed at the sister hotel for one night before going to the Aral Sea and were looking forward to staying there again. However, upon our return to Nukus we were reshuffled to this hotel without much explanation. 

While the sister hotel is slightly older it has a restaurant and larger more comfortable rooms and offers better breakfast choices. In contrast, this hotel is newer but lacks the charme and comfort of its affiliate. 

Nevertheless the staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and still feel quite new. Moreover the Hotel is home to one of the few working ATMs in the north of Uzbekistan.
