Old hotel, weak wiki to non existing wifi in the rooms. The rooms are dated, we didn't have hot water or any water pressure in the second floor.
The sheets are stained but the rooms were clean.
The staff does not speak a word in English and the blonde manager was rude and u patient with us trying to communicate.
They tried to scam us pay more on 2 nights we extended and moved us a room since the room we were in was "booked".

The good is that location is walking distance from the beach and bus stations but that might be the only good thing about this place.

Go somewhere else if you can

The hotel is very good, it has a good location and the services are very nice as well, but the internet is terrible. It doesn't work in the bedrooms, only in the reception area and still is not that good. 
There's a nice pool, the breakfast is so tasty and it has a nice variety of things and there's a vegetarian restaurant next to the hotel. It's amazing!!! The food is delicious! I recommend the hotel, but they really have to improve on their internet service.

Good hotel

The prices in punta are super high during the high season of January. I got this place on sale and was on the first floor. It was very basic. The thing I didn't really like was the door, it just seemed like a normal bedroom door like in a house rather than a hotel. Other than that, could be upgraded a bit but the ac worked and I was comfortable.

Older hotel, fine 

Found this hotel driving around the coast in Punta del Este the first week of Spring. Noticed the lobby was under renovation, always a good sign. Was shown two rooms, the second room had a balcony and nice view of the ocean. Bedding was totally new, very plush and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Bathroom appears to have not yet been upgraded, but overall the room was quiet, restful and pleasant. I was the only guest at 8am for the breakfast buffet and had an enjoyable and relaxing experience here off-season. Easy drive back along the coast to Montevideo from here.

A great value off-season!

We were rather unlucky... it rained for three days in a row out of the four we had planned to spend there and only got sunshine just as we were leaving.  In spite of this, we had a very relaxing stay at the hotel.  The receptionist was extremely kind and always ready to give us a helping hand.  Taxis to the downtown area or mall are reasonable and they offer an excellent service, they are reliable, comfortable and fast.  Needless to say, as soon as the sun appeared we went out for a walk, the hotel is only one block from the promenade, you get the best view ever!  That walk was so refreshing and indeed made up for the loss of sunshine the previous days!  All in all, I woiuld strongly recommend this hotel to those travelling on a low budget and seeking the peace and tranquility of Punta del Este.
