The hotel has a good location close to the historic section of Colonia del Sacramento. The owner was very helpful and breakfast was solid. While a bit small, the rooms are clean and the wi-fi is strong. The hotel is a solid spot and a very good value!

This is a wonderful hotel! Friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, good hot (and small) shower, strong wifi. Great location, just a few minutes walk to the old cobbled part of Colonia and lots of restaurants. Included breakfast is decent with cereal, pastries, toast, ham, cheese, tea and coffee.
Gay friendly.

We stayed here one night on our way from Buenos Aires to Montevideo. You can't beat the value for money. In a fabulous location, rooms are clean and comfortable although on the basic side, and a decent breakfast included. Friendly and helpful owner. You don't need more. 

Stayed here one night to await our ferry crossing to Buenos Aires after a 4 hour drive from Punta del Este.  The hotel is basic but clean.  The bed was comfortable.  The bath was tiny but updated.  No shampoo, etc, just soap (and I had forgotten that most foreign hotels don't supply wash cloths).  There is only a TV, no clock radio, etc.  Staff was extremely friendly even though I speak little Spanish.  They did manage to loan me a hair dryer with sign language!

I traveled to Colonia del Sacramento before attending an international conference in Punta del Este and booked this small, cozy hotel which is conveniently located near to the Barrio Historico, just off the main Avenue General Flores.  
Rooms are very clean and nicely furnished, staff is very friendly; the only downside is that being a very small hotel the rooms are arranged vertically with no elevator (I think it was 3 rooms per floor) , so if you have lots of luggage this could be somewhat inconvenient for you even if the staff does helps you carry the luggage.  Continental breakfast is included with the room fee, which is nice.
The location is great to walk to all the main points of interest of the Barrio Historico such as the Yacht Dock, the Lighthouse,view of the Mar del Plata, Calle de los Suspiros, and Puerta de la Ciudadela.  If you are into wine and cheese I would recommend stopping by a spot called El Buen Suspiro while doing your route, located on the Calle de los Suspiros.
Within the area where the hotel is located you can find plenty of places to eat, from economical places like a 24-hour diner very popular with locals called Confiteria La Pasiva and another place called Mercosur which has big portions at low prices with average service.  Furher into the Barrio Historico you can find more upscale restaurants, so there are plenty of options depending on your budget and your cravings.  
I happened to be in Colinia on a Sunday and Monday night so could not see how the night life is on a weekend; however I did get a chance to have a great evening with good beer at a brewpub called Bertot which is half a block from the hotel where they have a wide range of beers from lager, to ales, to stouts.   They won't disappoint you at all.
So, overall a great place to stay, highly recommended... I would stay there again!
