I would have given this 5 stars but there was a full-size fridge in our unit & it was so loud! I've stayed in multiple other hotel/motels with loud mini fridges but this one was certainly the loudest. I love having a fridge & microwave & this was a mini kitchen. The bathroom was big. The mattress must have been the typical spring type - bouncy. The view was mostly of other buildings. So close to coffee shops & restaurants. Good for the price.

Great location just off of Main Street in Westcliffe & has a spectacular view of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. Self check-in was fast & easy. I would stay here again.

The rooms are more like studio apartments, with a full kitchen. Really nice rooms and close to the main part of the town. No staff on the premises.

Booking, checking in/out was easy! Some of the appliances are older but they worked just fine. The towels are a bit rougher than most hotels/motels I’ve been to. Tv reception was hit or miss and we just ended up turning it off. That was the biggest downside but we didn’t spend much time needing it. I loved that we could have our fur babies there. Very close to everything! At night when you walk outside you can see the Milky Way and it’s gorgeous! I’d stay here again!

We liked the quiet and convenient location.  It was great to have our windows open and have a cross breeze for the cool nights!  Our room was clean and comfortable.  I wish we had one more chair in the room.

We enjoyed our room and stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

We are buying a house in the area and enjoyed our stays at this hotel. Very happy in what we got for the price paid. Will recommend to family coming to visit us.

This was a quiet, clean place to stay, with a terrific view of the mountains to the west.

The Dark Sky Suites is an extremely clean and basic, no frills type of property. Comfortable enough and just fine. Within walking distance of Main Street Westcliffe with dining, coffee and a delicious bakery.Older building so can we be noisy, particularly when on the first floor, the occupants upstairs were very noisy so I'd request an upstairs suite next time.

I have stayed at the Dark Sky Suites previously and greatly enjoyed my stay. It was exactly the experience I was looking for and offers an ideal location for exploring surrounding mountain ranges. Room and kitchen was well equipped and my interactions with staff were positive. I liked it so much I decided to extend my stay

The motel is just down a sidestreet off the main drag through town so very convenient. We could walk to everything, including a park where we could see the stars better. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bath products are very nice and are on pumps on the wall (eco-friendly). The only two negatives were that neighboring guests must have been smoking pot and so our room smelled like it whenever they lit up. Also, the instructions on the website were a little confusing as to what pre-check in and post-check in instructions you'd get and when. Also note this is a pay-on-site (no one is actually there) place and Hotels.com will NOT let you apply any free night credits because of that. That's an issue with Hotels.com not telling you that - absolutely no reflection on the Suites - just wanted to alert potential guests: you won't be able to apply credits here. Watch out for this with Hotels.com in general.

Very cute little efficiency apartments.  Basic amenities, but does have all that you need for a short trip

Location was great. Refrigerator and ceiling fan were nosier than i would gave liked
