The Mayfair offers up Victorian charm with modern amenities. It’s a grand old lady of the shore. It was spotless, my room had a wonderful coastal vibe to it, and the view of the ocean from my window was magnificent! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the concierge/proprietor(?), Theresa, was awesome! So accommodating! This was my first time staying at the Mayfair  since I lived at the Jersey shore for over 40 years. When I go back for a visit, I know where I’m staying!

Beautiful ocean front view room was very clean but the bed is a fold out cot. Glad I brought my own pillows staff is very helpful and friendly lobby is laid out beautifully with flowers and decorations would be nice if they pumped in some nice music came on off-season but I’m sure parking in the summer could be a nightmare

Great location right on the beautiful beach. Extremely nice folks running the hotel, with a family feel, not a corporate cut-out kind of place, which was lovely. If they put light blocking drapes in the windows, as an option when the sun comes up, it'd be even better. The view was fabulous though, and the room very nice. Good experience all round, highly recommended.

The Mayfair is a classic hotel. This is our second stay there. The hotel is well kept, the pool is well maintained, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It is literally across the street from the beach. Finding street parking in Belmar in the summer can be a challenge. It would be nice if the window curtains blocked the sun or you will wake up at sunrise. It would help if the curtains didn't block the window A/C when they are closed, but we managed that with a few binder clips. Also, be aware the hotel has three guestroom floors above the lobby level, so be prepared to climb the stairs as there is no elevator. If you are looking for a nice, clean, safe place to stay at the beach, we recommend the Mayfair.

I had a great of the ocean. And walkable to the beach boardwalk and restaurants. The pool was warm also.

Great stay - welcoming and friendly staff , very helpful!  - comfortable room and bed - beautiful view I had in the room. Room was clean and bright !Pool is great! Located Right across from the beach.Only negative ( nothing to do with the hotel or staff) is the off site parking in the area- very difficult to park. But if you're lucky , I was, you can grab a spot in front / close to building! Just a " heads up" no elevator...Overall, great place to stay in a safe environment ( Belmar NJ)

Rooms were bright,  clean and charming. Ocean view, excellent.  Lovely entrance sitting area with lots of plants creating a great tranquil vibe. Staff was friendly.  Excellent location on ocean ave with a view. Would definitely stay again and recommend 👌

Lovely old hotel right on the beach. We had an oceanfront room with great view. Room was small but newly renovated and charmingly decorated. There was no closet though or place to put clothes. Not even a luggage stand. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lobby had lots of different areas to sit, read, work, watch TV, or eat (your own food).

Seriously was such a cute little place for a girls weekend! Stayed one night and it was perfect for what we needed. Friendly staff, clean room and shower. If you bring your own food there’s a fridge in the room and microwave in lobby .. really great chill spot in the front too over looking the water. Really felt welcome!

The hotel is outdated, but clean and the location is excellent.  The rooms are small.  The lobby is lovely and there is a sun room and porch.  The staff is excellent.  It reminds me of an old shore boarding house.   I would recommend it because it is clean, the staff is very nice and accommodating and it is directly across from the beach!

Location, location, location!

The staff is great, really friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic you literally could not get closer to the beach.The pool is somewhat unnecessary as you’re at the beach and the lack of parking is definitely a hassle. The room was very small but nice. You’re paying for location but not for an extravagant hotel.

The lady at the front desk was lovely and made check in very easy. Every staff member was absolutely endearing and made sure that our stay was enjoyable and pleasant. The room itself was quaint with a lovely mini fridge that gave the room personality. The view was lovely and it was a two second walk to the boardwalk, and we were surrounded by Asbury Park and Spring Lake which were also very enjoyable. I was able to find free street parking right in front of the hotel, and the ambience within the hotel was absolutely delightful.
