The Towne Motel was such a great place to stay. You can tell the owners have put so much care and thought into renovating it. Our room was quite big and very comfortable. The breakfast was so much better than what you might expect for "continental"--there were two different kinds of homemade cakes, which were delicious, great coffee, and granola with yogurt. We went to Maine during Lobster Week, and I really appreciated the fact that this motel didn't price gouge--they could have easily raised the price but they didn't. For a lovely stay within very easy walking distance to downtown, this is the place to go.
