Nice little motel in a small town.  They are in a renovation process but everything was just fine.  Clean and comfortable.  Nice people running it.  If you are the area and need a place to stay, I would recommend this place

Everything has been or is being updated. This is my 2nd stay with the new ownership. I'll stay here again when I'm in the area. Rooms are cleaned daily. Nothing is broken and everything works as it should. New owners are very friendly and ready and able to fulfill any thing you need from directions to the best places to eat. One of the better motels I've stayed in.

I read other reviews of this motel and you have to take them with a grain of salt.  Some people you just can’t please.  The motel is under some renovations.  They are totally gutting the office area.  I got a room that was not renovated yet.  It was very nice.  Very clean. No bugs as others reported.  Owners were very, very nice.  I would definitely stay here again.

Newly renovated, quiet, clean place to stay. 
Quite surprised to see the rooms as up to date with big smart TVs and great Wi-Fi. No complaints. The management/ owners were very friendly and helpful with our stay. 

This motel is being renovated. The rooms which are done are very nice, clean and comfortable.  The price is fantastic and the owners are friendly and on site. Past reviews are outdated.  I was traveling alone on a hunting trip but would happily bring my wife, who is very picky.  .

Nice motel

Nice motel.

Over all great stay

Very clean comfortable stay with on site owners who are very friendly 

Definitely not my first choice, but there’s not many options in/near Valiant. The couple that manages is very nice (although make sure you lock the door when you’re showering, they’ll still come in and clean if you don’t). 

Rooms are kept very clean, the motel itself is just old and never intended to be more than what it is.

Not as bad as you think

Wanted to like it. Calling for reservations, good information, pet friendly seemed willing to please. Check in, okay.  Saw room first, large, king size bed, good water pressure and clean. Nice bed. TV, microwave and refrigerator works well. Left for a few hours, on return floor marks on carpet, "dusty looking". You could brush it away but it would return later. Reported it to manager when he brought the blanket we requested. Showed marks, he insisted it was from the dog and offered to vacuum. Let it go however the "dust" would disappear when pushed around. Later it would appear again. Looked like condensation from under concrete. Air in room smelled okay. It is a mystery. They are new owners and are trying to renovate. Needs help.

You get what you pay for

Valliant is a tiny town... there is not much of a "hotel selection".  We were forced to stay here out of necessity because of a death in the family. From the moment you walk into this  motel hell, you realize sleeping in your car would have been a better option. The carpeting on the stairs was stained so much you could barely make out the original color. And the SMELL! The room was not any better. It reaked of mildew and ash trays. There were live roaches in the bathroom. The sheets were stained... it was 100+ degrees outside and the air conditioner barely worked. After my daughter had a bug on her from the bed, we left. And did not look back.. Drive out of town-- skip this place!!!

You will leave feeling dirty.

Stayed here for 5 nights. There was a hole kicked in the bathroom door. The room was colder than the refrigerator. Killed 7 spiders in the bathroom. Bugs could crawl in under the door. Worst of all I got athletes feet in there showers! I will drive further to get a room next time I go here.
