This Inn was recommended by friends and we were not the least disappointed with our stay in March if 2020. We had an upstairs room with a wonderful balcony and spacious bathroom.  The hosts are wonderfully engaging and accommodating and provide a gourmet breakfast daily.  The location was convenient and quiet.
Parking on the street is always available.  The Catalina Inn and the hosts added a great deal to our Tucson experience.

Perfect choice

The villa's interior is beautiful and welcoming and the outdoor patio is a great relaxing place for a glass of wine or coffee in the afternoon.
Paul and Mark are wonderful inn owners who help with everything and serve the most delicious breakfasts one can imagine.

Staying at Catalina Park Inn is like staying with good friends.

We spent two weeks at the Catalina Park Inn in January. We had previously stayed with Mark and Paul two other times. We continue to go back because of their wonderful hospitality, great breakfasts, room cleanliness, and convenient location near the University and downtown. We spent a lot of time biking and hiking and always loved coming back to sit out on our balcony or in one of the garden areas to relax. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, several within walking distance. I highly recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Two great weeks in January 2020

I've stayed in the finest hotels around the world including the Oriental in Bangkok, the Waldorf in New York and the Palace in San Francisco and of all the places this is my favorite.  I was traveling for familial concerns and found the comfort of friends in Mark and Paul to be as valuable to me as the beautiful surroundings.

The absolute best, a true gem with warmth and comfort.

We had a great stay at the Catalina Park Inn Bed and Breakfast.

Rooms/House: We stayed in the East Room (2nd Floor), cozy, with a 4-poster bed, its own balcony, and en suite bathroom. The entire premises (including our room) is well maintained, clean, and tastefully/appropriately decorated. If you are looking for something hyper-modern, then pick somewhere else (like not a B & B).

Breakfast: As others say, the breakfast is outstanding, tasty, and quite filling if you eat all of it! Be sure to try their homemade baked goods and orange marmalade. I am sure they can accommodate dietary requests with notice. It was also fun to chat with other guests at breakfast and swap recommendations on what to do and see.

Location: Ideally located near 4th street and near the University, you are walking distance from a lot of the action on the north side of Tucson without having to be right in the thick of things. Also, they are located very close to Speedway Blvd and about 3-4 minutes from I-10, so getting in, out, and elsewhere is a breeze (like 20 minutes to Saguaro National Park - West). Plenty of street parking too.

Hosts: Mark and Paul are gracious, fun, and clearly love what they do.

Ideal Tucson B & B

We recently stayed at the Catalina Park Inn Bed and Breakfast and recieved a warm welcoming from the owners Mark and Paul.  Their charming home was buiilt in 1927 and is close to the 4th Ave Shops and other Tucson historical sites.  Breakfast not only included good food, but fun conversation.  The room we had was clean, quaint and filled with the sound of birds singing outside as the morning started.

We would highly recommend staying at the Catalina Park Inn Bed and Breakfast.

Warm and Welcoming

I booked The Bower room for a week's adventure.  The room was very comfortable with every amenity that I needed.  I loved that I opened my door to an outdoor fountain and comfortable seating.  Paul and Mark have created a wonderful salon of interesting people, many who have returned multiple times, to create incredibly stimulating breakfast conversations.  This along with very delicious breakfasts each morning that catered to dairy allergy, wheat allergy, no eggs, and a vegan one morning without any problems.  I will definitely return and recommend to others traveling to Tucson. Kudos, Paul and Mark for your graciousness!

A Place to Get Your Mind Right

My husband and I arrived in Tucson from the east coast only to discover that the B & B we had booked for a three-night stay was no longer in business.  Having had no warning of this, we scrambled for an alternative.  Yes, the fall-back would be one of the big hotels, but we wanted something more intimate and close to the university and 4th Ave.   Someone suggested the Catalina Park Inn and we headed there.  Mark answered the door and we told him our tale of woe.  In between rescuing cookies from the oven, he checked his reservation book and returned to say that he had one room available and it was ours if we wanted it.  The rest of this review echoes many of the previous ones:  outstanding breakfast; beautifully appointed rooms and welcoming outdoor spaces; and a great location.  But what makes this place so special is that Mark and Paul clearly enjoy meeting new people and welcoming them into their home.   They are gracious, helpful, informative, and tons of fun.   We were lucky to have landed on their doorstep!

A Wonderful Rescue!

This B&B IS as good as it gets!  The location is excellent; close to the university, arts and downtown Tucson.  The home is just lovely and beautifully furnished with many period elements. We were there five nights.  The bed is very comfortable and the linens so soft. The rooms are light and airy; the East Room is large, with a large bathroom and outdoor terrace.  Mark and Paul, our hosts, were friendly, knowledgeable and really helpful.  And the breakfasts were delicious and took into account people's preferences and needs without any fanfare or fuss.  Each plate came out hot and looking and tasting very good!  And - since they seem to attract interesting people, the conversations at breakfast were quite fun!

Wonderful home away from home!

I had such a great stay at this bed & breakfast. The house & rooms are stylishly decorated. The outdoor spaces with botanical garden full of palms and cacti was so enjoyable to enjoy a glass of wine under the outdoor lights strung above our heads. The breakfasts in the morning were so delicious. They were able to cater to our dietary needs. Fresh orange marmalade and fresh mint for our waffles were little touches that make staying there feel extra special. The owners are friendly and welcoming. They were very responsive to my emails with questions I had prior to the stay. I would definitely stay there again!
