73 reviewsWe spent two nights at Vista de la Luna and loved it. It is perfectly situated on the wide open prairie roughly halfway between Laramie (an easy 20 minute drive West) and Cheyenne (a half hour drive East). The rooms are modern, super large, and comfortable. Ours was (I'm estimating) 400+ square feet with a king-size bed, a cozy sofa, and a small round table with a couple of wicker chairs. The bathroom is similarly immense. Plus, we had a large view-patio. The views from the property are to die for (assuming you like wide open spaces). Best of all are the hosts, Lynn and Paul - very friendly, informative, accommodating, easy to talk to. Lynn's breakfasts are gourmet and ample. The close-by Vidauwoo State Park is ruggedly beautiful, and has nice, short hikes. If you're into rock climbing (we are not) it is a mecca. And the very friendly, co-host, a beautiful, mellow greyhound called Sage, added a homey feel despite the modern design. of the space. For Bay Area city folks like us, our stay at Vista de la Luna was a great experience and a highlight of our cross country drive.
