Columbus Inn

My friend and I stayed at the Columbus Inn for three nights, in one of their "deluxe" rooms. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The motel consists of two buildings plus a separate office. The "deluxe" rooms are those in the newer of the two buildings. Based on the outside appearance, I would not recommend staying in a "standard" room in the older of the two buildings. The price difference is only $5. I could not believe what a bargain we got for only $60 a night + tax for our "deluxe room! If you don't mind missing some of the amenities found in hotels that cost twice as much (i.e. there was no coffee maker, no alarm clock, there was bar soap instead of body wash, the microwave that sat on top of the refrigerator was not plugged in and there was no electrical outlet anywhere near it) and if you don't mind some scuffs on the walls, and if you don't need a pool (they have a closed one one that has green water and lots of filamentous algae growing on the bottom) and if you want to save a lot of money, this is the place to stay.
