I've stayed at the lomgbranch a few times and stayed in three of the different rooms, tony always has any and everything u need even has a hot tub! Every room has a different theme too! I love the saloon girls room, cute name and nice wrap around balcony! The homemade breakfast buffet is amazing I highly recommend u enter with an empty belly, don't waste ur time going to Denny's! I recently went in to book a room for next month and I seen an inspector there and had to wait my turn in line and would like to congratulate tony on making a 100 on the results that encourages me to ever look any further than the lomgbranch hotel!! Thank u tony for being the kind welcoming person u are with affordable prices! 

My family & I come all the way from New York at least 3 times a year to Canton Trade Days, our first stop is The long branch hotel. No matter what time we arrive, our room is always available, warm,inviting, clean & fully stocked with all the amenities & more. We've stayed in a few different rooms through the years & each has been newly remolded,updated with large flat screen T.VS, New mini fridge, microwave & Gavalia coffee makers. Tony seems to spare no expense with the creature comforts especially his breakfast buffet!  Homemade fresh because you can smell the Bacon cooking all around the grounds each morning!  Fresh brand new fluffy pillows & sheets, seating areas inside & outside each large room. The kicker is the complimentary drinks & food throughout the day or evening. No hotel offers this but Tony's. Parking right at you're door that's free, large hot tub & a safe,secure environment. The long branch is pet friendly which is a must when we bring our furbabies with us. Its down home charm combined with Tony's above & beyond courtesy makes The long branch our only destination. Not far (within walking distance) from all the shopping & entertainment. I'm impressed & a must stay experience. 

Tony was very kind, very helpful, Our room was very nice and clean, his free breakfast was wonderful,. Tony also told us about the history of Canton, and Wild Willy's Mountain, The hot tub was so much enjoyable after a long day of shopping

First of all, this is not the Hilton or Sheraton. It is, however a clean, rustic, nice size motel room, with great service and pretty good food. The sandwiches are serve yourself... all day long, and the  day starts with a full hot breakfast, buffet style. Saturday, we had sausage, eggs, bacon, biscuits and toast, gravy and hash brown potatoes. I think there were also cereals available. The drinks are juice, milk, and coffee as well as soft drinks and bottled water. All is served in a kitchen area that looks like your grandmothers ! The beds were comfortable, we had 3 in our room, one full and 2 that were queen, I think. The bath only has a shower, but that is enough.  I cannot say enough about the hot tub, after walking 8 hours at the First Monday Flea Market... The TV was nice and had lots of channels. The room was equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot with coffee provided.  The motel is within walking distance of "Dog Alley" section and several pavilions. We did have to drive and park our vehicle across the highway from the main sections of First Monday. There is also an alternative trolly car, but I did not get the specifics. I definitely will be returning to this motel the next time I visit First Monday !!

Great rustic hotel

great food and fun

After staying for a month due to being in the area for a construction project, we were nearing the end of our time in East Texas. We began to pay weekly due to not having a final end date. After paying, the owners wife asked us to go get cash to pay them because, after they ran our CC for $450, they claimed they had phone line problems and couldn't settle the batch. I was hesitant but I called my bank and they suggested to have then cancel the transaction so it didnt go threw at a later date. The owners ASSURED us that if, for some reason the charge was successful, they would give us back the $450 in cash we paid. Fast forward 2 weeks and the charge did pop back up and get taken out of our account. I spoke with Tony who was the most unprofessional person I have ever talked too. He told me I was wrong and that if he found and error he would have someone call us. After 2 days, I had to file fraud charges at the bank to finally get my money back. When my husband went back to the location, they called the police on him and told my son to vacate the premises after he just paid $450 for his 2 week stay. Beware, they will take your money and then harass you or call police on you and kick you out. We had zero problems until the end of our stay when we asked for our money to be returned.

Beware! This place will RIP you off

nasty, way below building code, and if you reserved, The will keep all your money if you decide not to stay in a rat accomodated hotel.  This is a mix of a porch-or walk way with boards.  The beds are old and nasty, the ceiling had mold, the wires are exposed, the window air conditioner was hanging out the window and was filthyand the chairs were covered with a black shroud so you couldn't see the filth.
Tony will try to sell this room to you as a 5 star suite, it is a 5 star dump, he will also brag about his landscaping skill, which, clearly he does not have, talent to landscape or the land.
Sorta has a bathroom, enough said.  
The microwave was dirty and the coffee pot had a film in and on it.  No glasses to drink from ( if you were brave enough to ingest the water from a glass) and no coffee for the pot.  
If you like giving away money, this is  your place, if you do not care to bathe, it's your place, if you don't care about rats, spiders or bed bugs, then by all means, go for it, otherwise, "get the heck out of dodge".  Do not use a debit card to reserve, its a done deal.  Tony will not refund any money.  Because " he turned away people for you"
Doubt that"  This guy is a full blown crook and if these are the kind of people Canton Texas calls good people, good for business, then the entire town must be inbred.
You can find alot nicer places to go and certainly nicer people elsewhere.
