This location needs a lot of work on cleanliness.  We stayed one night last week and one night this week as a halfway point between Michigan and Tennessee.  The doors to the rooms do not fit tightly, but they do lock securely.  There is not a fan in the bathroom.  When we checked in both times, the rooms (different rooms different floors), there was a very stale stuffy smell.  Today there was a stronger odor we could not identify.  There was a clump of hair on the bathroom floor and if you look closely, the room is not clean.  The breakfast is okay as long as you don't want real eggs. We were okay with this place for the price, but one night was plenty.

Fair for one night

Stayed during bridge fair. Sign for hotel way up in the air it has to be for travelers on I70.  Goggle had you make a U-turn once off the highway but that is not correct.  Once there found out the toilet lever would not function.  Notified the front desk next morning to have it fixed never was. Had to lift off lid the next 2 days.  Breakfast was great. Everything you could want hot waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs. Very large and spacious.  Looks newly renovated and clean.  Walls soundproof and quiet from outside even though close to I70.  Hall carpet was clean also.  Staff were on the breakfast filling up when things got low.  Nice hotel.

Better than expected but with a flaws

Sleep Inn appears to be an older motel, that has been remodeled on the cheap. The Bad:  Windows in the hallways dirty to the point of being opaque. Room doors crudely refitted with keyless locks. In the room several dark, obvious hairs in the tub, which I could almost forgive. A smear of something on the headboard.  Turned down the bed, more random dark hairs in the bed. Hotel was fully booked, so changing rooms was not an option. Went to the desk for a new set of linen. The new set was at least folded, but looked and felt tired and shop worn. And when we remade the bed, still came across a stray hair in the "fresh sheets". And of course while changing the bed, we got to see the worn, stained mattress pad. 

The good: Night clerk was apologetic about the linen, and volunteered to make a note on our bill (which made no difference). The breakfast was adequate. Well lit parking lot.

Tired motel

we had issues from the start. the bed sheets had big stain on it , i asked for a another sheet to cover up the stain   ( NOT SLEEPING ON STAINED SHEETS)  had to change the sheet,  had to take a light bub from another light to put in another, 
 then  our toilet wouldnt flush, my husband messed with it, nothing, had the staff come try to fix it, it worked for a bout an hour, had to go down and see about changing rooms,  we made 5 trips back and forth between rooms,  we shouldnt have had to do that.. they knocked no money off our bill at all!!  theis has been numerous times with choice hotels  having issues. think i will swear off choice hotels

sleep inn

My husband called this motel and we decided to go down early, so we wouldn’t have to get up early on Friday morning and drive for 2.5 hours from Lafayette Indiana.  The motel told us to call whomever we made the reservation with to add another night.  That was fine we could do that.  We left Thursday and got to TerreHaute Indiana before check I time and the let us check in early.  

The room was big with a king bed and was suppose to be handicapped  accessible and it was to a certain point.  My husband is in a wheelchair and I was using a walker, because I fell about 3 weeks ago and my arthritis was flared up.  

Being handicapped we usually take a shower stool with us.  The shower had grab bars in it, but I have one complaint that the toilet was too low to the floor.  Had to get up and down very slowly.

The breakfast was fine.  Didn’t have much choice or variety of food.  The front desk personnel were kind and offer to help in anyway they could.  

Housekeeping was very personal and did a good job.

All an all we would stay there again.

Trip to TerreHaute Indiana

We had no reservation, but they had a room the week before the 4th of July.  The man at the front desk was pleasant and we had no trouble getting our room. The room was clean and newly painted/remodeled and the bed was wide.  My only complaint was that the door was not as secure as I'd like.  There was a deadbolt and a door catch you could flip open, but anyone with an unfolded clothes hanger could have gotten in.  The door was not flush to the frame and you could see a gap into the hall. Overall, I thought it was a nice place to stay:  85.10 for one night is probably middle of the road as far as price.  I would stay here again.

Clean and remodeled, door needs reinforcement

Hotel was renovated, clean, firm mattresses. 

Drawbacks: we asked for 2 connecting rooms (in our reservation, parents with children). When we arrived, we were told they didn't have any connecting rooms. We go to our room and it IS a connecting room, but is not connected to our second room. Also, recent renovation includes motion detector light switches. So if ONE person in the room gets up in the night, the lights come on and awaken everyone else in the room!  We had stayed here before and remembered to put duct tape and index cards in our suitcase to tape over the light switches.

Nice hotel

the place is dated, hallways weren't clean. The cleanliness of the room wasn't bad and the breakfast was decent. The lack of hot water was the kicker. The black-out curtain couldn't close the whole way so let too much light in.

room was noisy, shower was lukewarm for one shower, cold for the next.

Location is good, price point is good.  Hot water is good, cleanliness is good, bed is comfy.  The fair amount of black mold on the ceiling in the shower in room 224 was less than desirable but since it was just one night we weren’t concerned.  Breakfast is from “6 to 9”.  We were there at 7, it was completely empty with no refill in sight.  I’m sure it’s only one person working.

Ok for the price

We have a worst experience ever staying at this hotel, first on check in they try to charge us again even  we paid online, then second day of our staying at 11:00 pm my wife already fall asleep somebody start knocking on our door loud and screaming,You need to get out and paid your bill or we are calling police, she was screaming and also saying You have to come to reception right now. My wife was Awake already after her screaming and yelling, so we dressed up and went downstairs there are 3 reception waiting at desk, when I show them receipt I paid for two of them apologize but the one screaming and yelling her name is Brenda(she was drank or on drugs) one of those and when she realized she was wrong she started to hide you can’t even talk to her anymore. Never ever have any experience like this. Her name is Brenda be aware of her.
