Absolutely beautiful room with a fireplace, jetted bathtub and 2 person shower eith dual shower heads. Balcony with ceiling fan to keep a nice breeze going or just keep the patio door open while watching a movie on the most comfortable king bed ever. Truly worth every bit.

This is a wonderful hotel with exceptional rooms, amenities and staff. Walking distance to town and winery tasting rooms. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

The hostess was very welcoming, great service, even made me a coffee in the morning with almond milk

Beautiful restored home just outside Sutter Creek town. Quiet area with easy parking right in front or in back. Rooms were nice and big and nicely decorated. They serve a continental breakfast in the morning with coffee, bagels, yogurt and hard boiled eggs in the morning. The only negative is that the walls are very thin. I could hear the TV from all around my room quite clearly. This property has some rooms with no stairs, but there could be quite a few stairs if those are full.

The rooms and building were spotless. The staff was very accommodating, and the food was great. It is a quiet and comfortable accommodation and walking to town was very easy. I would stay here again, and highly recommend this place.

Very helpful staff, room is comfortable, actually larger than in many other places. We did hear people in the neighboring room though. Bed was very nice. Neighborhood is very quiet. The Inn is located on the north end of Sutter Creek, away from the very busy part of the main street. We will stay again if we are in the area.

This place is very attractive, quiet, charming and convenient to downtown Sutter Creek. Our room had a king size bed, in room coffee, and was fitted up with charming antique furniture. A light breakfast is available every day. The owner, Carrie, is very kind, hospitable and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. :-)

My wife and I drove down from the Redding, Ca (3-4 hours) area to stay at The Inn at 161. (2nd visit, it was such a great experience when we visited last year we had to return.) Kerry and Mary are a delight to be around, they are at your disposal for anything, know the area well and had some great recommendations for wine tasting or places to eat( especially where the locals hang out!!

We had a different room this time….room number 3 which has a beautiful claw foot tub /shower! I can’t say enough about the accommodations, which are impeccable, plenty of parking, within walking distance to downtown,lots of sitting areas on premise to sit with a glass of wine and a good book!!

Great place to return to again and again……..

This property was perfect for our stay. It was a short walk to the restaurants. The room was comfortable and quiet. The bed was comfortable too.  We were happy the TV had modern options like Netflix, etc. The staff was great! Kerry was very helpful and gave us some tips about where to go.  We definitely plan to come back again!

We only stayed one night due to unforeseen circumstances. The owner came and met us when we were early, gave us an upgraded room. We have been on an extended trip around California, and this was by far the most comfortable bed we had our entire trip. A Victorian room with up to date features, I would highly recommend this inn to anyone!

The rooms are spacious, and in the winter, nice and warm. I used the fireplace (automatic and worked well). They made a breakfast plate for me as I had to leave very early, and it was good and plentiful. There was a glitch in the town’s water supply, not the hotel’s fault. The staff called and apologized. I recommend this Inn.

Comfort in quaint Sutter Creek

My wife and I had an overnight stay in Sutter Creek a couple of weeks before Christmas (2023) and stayed at the Inn at 161.  It is a very nice Inn, about a 5 minute walk to the Historic downtown.  The staff (maybe the owner?) was exceptional.  We had to charge our EV about 2 miles out of town and she offered to drive us to get the car.  Turns out the Inn has EV charger stations but they are of the 110 outlet variety.  Room was clean, very quiet at night, comfortable bed, and the continental breakfast--coffee/tea, bagels, danish, etc.--exceeded our expectations.  No wait for hot water, which is a nice feature.  Excellent value for the money.

Overnight in Sutter Creek

The inn had a really cozy feel. My room was perfectly clean and even had a gas fire place. The staff were super friendly as well. I arrived on Thanksgiving Day and the staff made sure to call me so that I could make arrangements to get my room key. The bed was really soft which I liked. My dad didn't like the soft mattress as much so if you hate soft mattresses, you may want to take that into consideration. But if you want a nice cozy place for a reasonable price, I'd definitely stay here.

This property is in excellent condition. The room and the common areas were spotless. The owners have a high degree of pride of ownership! The bed was springy or kind of bouncy but still quite comfortable. Our room had a gas fireplace which was a very nice touch. Continental breakfast was fresh and well attended by staff. This was our first time at this hotel. We will very likely stay here again on our next visit to the area.
