Very close to everything very quiet during week days.

This place was great awesome restaurant in the building and huge room.

Very clean and cozy place to stay - we stayed in Sarah's room.  The town is right outside your window and makes it easy to stroll the streets.  Everything is within walking distance from the Cozy place.  Owners are very kind and helpful.  Great place to stay!

The Butler House was convenient and beautifully historic. We enjoyed our stay greatly and will visit again. Only concerns were the lack of an elevator and trouble with the heat in our room but that is to be expected in an old house.

Our stay at the Butler House was fantastic. The pullout couch was so comfortable and the entire room and bathroom was spacious. I did contact the owners regarding the tub not draining great and we did lose hot water faster than we would have liked. But, we would 100% stay here again and had an amazing time. You really can't beat the location.

Lovely place to stay in downtown Stowe.  Right on Main Street and a nice departure from regular hotels.  Quaint and lovely.

Super convenient location with parking! I stayed in the Murphy Bed Suite and it was compact and efficient as well as cozy.I would definitely stay here again

Would stay here again in a heartbeat

My tween daughter and I stayed at Butler House for a week while we explored Stowe and other nearby parts of Vermont. We were originally only booked for 3 nights but loved the property and location so much that we extended our stay for a whole week. When initially reading reviews I noticed some that mention the noisy area and / or traffic. Coming from Houston I would say that it is relative - it seemed blissfully quiet to us, and the "hustle and bustle" of Main Street was really enjoyable. There were even evenings featuring live music and local artists during our stay.  We were in the Murphy Bed suite and then moved to Zoe's Loft during the week, both were just the right size for two people and my daughter loved the murphy bed and loft elements. Perfect sized kitchen areas with everything you might need. The owners are so helpful and responsive. We can't wait to come back someday.

Perfect Place For A Week in Vermont

We had been to Stowe seven years ago and couldn’t wait to return. Unfortunately things change. Our room was lovely. And very clean. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the end is located on Main Street in Historic Stowe. Traffic was heavy and it was very noisy. Additionally the shades did not keep the light from the street lamps out of our room.

Maybe not the best location

The Butler house is peaceful, comfortable, well kept and up to date with unique  features that made our stay feel special. For our purposes we could walk to where we wanted without a lot of organizing and fanfare. If you want tovenjoy The Butler's Pantry restaurant below make sure to check their work hours and days open. We missed those and will definitely return again to try it out. We stayed in the studio with the murphy bed; spacious, convenient with everything we needed to make a meal there!

Homey stay in stowe

Stayed in Sarah's suite with my husband and 6 month old. It was perfect, exactly what we were looking for. Fireplace really works and gets warm which was nice and cozy during the rainy evening.
Right on main street which is great for easy walking to shops and restaurants but was a little noisy at night. Hardwood floors, super comfy bed, nice hot shower and shower and water pressure, beautiful decorated, kitchen to cook in, coffee and half n half, Netflix and Amazon prime. Loved that check in was super easy and butlers pantry for breakfast was fantastic. I hope to stay here again in the future... easily one of the top 3 best hotels I've ever stayed at.

Perfect

Wonderful room in historic building in a quaint town. Very thoughtfully appointed and convenient to the main street with shops and restaurants. Good notes and information from the proprietors. I could see there being noise from the road and the restaurant in the building during busy tourist times, but when I was there, it was very chill and relaxing.

We recently came here for a weekend and really enjoyed staying at the Butler House. We had one of their larger spaces so we had a fireplace and kitchen in our room, and it was just what we had been looking for. We were able to spread out and enjoy lounging in the room before going out for the day. It is well located right in the middle of the town so you can walk around the nice downtown after going out for the day. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was as clean as you could ask for. The downtown is lively, well more lively than I expected, so you will probably hear a bit of the town (really it was more in the morning than at night). I would highly recommend staying here and would come back here as a place to stay no doubt.

Vintage home well converted into quant inn

Wonderful stay at the Butler House! We crammed in 3 adults in Zoe's Loft, but it worked fine. the main 2 person bed is in the pull out couch, and there is a double mattress about 4 feet up a short ladder in the "Loft". There was a little kitchenette which was nice, full amenities in the bathroom and Kitchen, however the shower was a little tight, being inside a small hanging curtain in the raised tub. 
The location was awesome, great communication with the owner, noise was never really a problem, even though on the busy side street. Parking in back was never an issue, they try to block it off for Inn guests only. 
Make sure you go down stairs at least a 1/2 hour early to get in line for the awesome breakfast at Butlers Pantry - the line was always out the door to the sidewalk!
Unfortunately you don't get reserved seating, but you do get a 20% discount. 

nice stay in Zoe's loft

We stayed in unit #9 which is in the front of the building; it was very noisy in the morning as restaurant visitors lined up to get in (FYI-food was excellent!). Had I known, I would have booked a room towards the back. Also (small complaint), batteries in the AC remote were dead, moved them from the cable remote as needed. Really great location!!!! Would definitely return.

We loved this casual, comfortable Inn.  We stayed in Orion’s room.  It was perfect for traveling with our son and his wife.  Private bedrooms and one bath worked fine.  We played games in the living room and had a full kitchen for snacks and drinks.  3 nights was perfect for a summer stay in Stowe.  Convenient to the trails and all of the downtown conveniences.  We will be back for another stay.
