Quickest check in of my life! In & out w/ room key. Room was spotless, bedding beautiful , plenty of towels & toiletries. We slept great ! Would book again!

Property was well maintained, rooms were very clean, and check-in and check out was convenient. My only complaint was that the bed was a bit worn on one side, but for only a few nights it was manageable. The location was excellent only a few blocks from the center of town, and 3 blocks to a lovely beach. Would definately recommend, and plan to return to again.

Customer service was pleasant and accommodating! Room was spacious and clean !

This was a great little motel at a decent price compared to other motels/hotels around. It was quiet at night and even during the day!

This motel is a gem.  The style is kind of throw-back, but it's very up to date and very well maintained.  Our room for the 2 of us had 2 queens, a table and chairs and a refrigerator.  The room was immaculate and we never expected to have clean linens each day and daily maid service -- but we did!  Such great service.  Our room was on the first floor, so our car and our bikes were right outside our door -- so very convenient; no waiting for valets or climbing up and down stairs.  It made unpacking and packing so very easy.   The owner was very pleasant and helpful, directing us to points of interest.  We were 2-1/2 blocks from the beautiful beach and 3 blocks from the main business district. We enjoyed our daily bike rides right to and from our door.  It was a perfect September getaway.  We want to go back and would never stay anywhere but the Sun 'n Sand. The price was fantastic.  Thanks for a great time!

Great, convenient place

My husband and I were in town for a weekend wedding in Avalon. We booked a room here because the reviews promised a quaint, quiet, convenient location and that's what we got. We had a 2-bedroom suite on the end (#8). 

Our check-in was smooth and I had asked for extra towels ahead of arrival and they were there in our unit. The unit was extremely clean and had every amenity that we needed. It was very cozy and cottagey and, despite being an older building, it had the amenities that we needed. Specifically, there were plenty of accessible chargers, USB ports, and plugs throughout. The kitchen was well-stocked. The beds were comfy. There were window AC units and they worked fine. 

The location was great. It was in a neighborhood on a side street that didn't have a ton of traffic. It was very walkable to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. Very walkable with nice sidewalks in a nice neighborhood. We were able to park outside of our room. While we did not use them, there was a grill and picnic table onsite and beach chairs for $5/day. 

We really enjoyed our short stay here and if we do return to the area, we would definitely stay here again.

Cozy, Convenient Shore Town Charm

We love this property. The beach at Stone Harbor is immaculate - clean, well-maintained, quiet, and never crowded. This property is within walking distance and the rooms are clean and there is outdoor space to hang towels, bathing suits, etc. The staff are very friendly and accommodating - we wouldn't stay anywhere else!

It was a last minute stay after a wonderful day in Cape May.  We love Stone Harbor and my husband's family had a house there for 40 years but recently sold it.  I went to Hotels.Com and reserved a room at Sun N' Sand.  In all these years I never even knew it was there.  What a pleasant surprise.  It was absolutely charming and so welcoming.  I reviewed their website and was thrilled to see the specials they offer and we look forward to staying here many more times to come.

A Hidden Gem

The motel is basics.  Close to the beach free beach passes cheap bike and chair rentals.. The AC abit noisey
The room impeccable with cleanings. The tile polished. Plenty of towels nice sitting area. In a residential  neighbor close to downtown and buisness. The property  offers  an affordable alternative  to this town..Book early like September for 2022.. This isca very clean  property not one sign nofdirt anywhere. A totally different scene here. You are lodging in between multi.million dollar homes. This town is a secret. First review in a while but this place deserves best review!

Better than the pictures!

I stayed in 2 queen room, not a suite, and it was perfect for me. The rooms are clean and quaint but not outdated. The bathroom was well stocked with soaps, shampoos, etc. and a hair dryer. Well stocked with towels that were replenished daily. The bathroom is small but worked fine for me. There is a fridge, no freezer. Missing amenities would only be microwave and coffee maker, but there are plentiful coffee and breakfast places within walking distance. The location is great, it’s quieter than downtown area and the beach is within a short walk away. Beach tags are provided and parking is free in the area. Also a great outdoor shower stocked with shampoo, soap etc.  Nice family owned business, very nice owners. Loved my time there, stayed for a week.

This place is good for certain people. If you are an older couple that want quiet or have teenagers this place will work. It is NOT kid friendly at all. There are too many lamps, statues, and drawers with knives that a toddler can get into. We stayed in a full suite and it was clean and beautiful. They provide shampoo, conditioner, paper towels, two tvs, and dishes. It comes with toaster, coffee maker, and of course microwave with small oven. The biggest complaint we had was they didn't supply COFFEE and charge 20.00 for every person after 4 people. Even if its a TODDLER 2 years old. I recommend if your a honeymooning or a retired couple with couple friends. Parking is kind of tight too. The owner is very nice and the place is up to date and very clean.

Nice,clean motel room in a good location.  Just a couple blocks from the beach, or there's a nice gazebo if you go another block over to 101st street beach.   Out of crowded central area but just a few blocks over to it for food and such.   Didn't check it out at night but Bucket's Margarita was great for breakfast.  A reasonable quick drive to other shore points if you want to explore around Cape May or get to the OC boardwalk.

Sun N' Sand is our go-to place when visiting Stone Harbor and will be for as long as we get to keep making our trips! The motel is located just a 5 minute walk from the beachfront and is just along the main stretch of the town, making it incredibly easy to grab dinner or ice cream. The owners are exceptionally nice and have always made us feel like family when we visit, asking how our stay was and how we enjoyed the beach, etc. The room itself is impeccably clean, complete with a really nice bathroom, though the outdoor shower is a fun draw during the summer. 

If you're looking to visit Stone Harbor, please take time to support local & family-owned businesses such as this one. Furthermore, for those of you concerned about COVID-19, know that the stretch of beach near the motel was incredibly quiet. Overall, I can't recommend Sun N' Sand enough and am already looking forward to our next stay.
