The room is standard Holiday Inn - nothing fancy, but quite comfortable, well cleaned, and reasonably priced. The staff was fabulous! Enjoyed a good breakfast, and having several dinner options near by, as well as a 7-11 with gas made for an easy trip.

Comfortable and lots near by

Hotel exceeded expectations. Check in was fast and easy. Convenient, free parking right outside the front door. Pool looked nice but I didn't use it. Room was comfortable. Good spot to stop in route Oakhurst.

Room was a bit noisy with freeway right outside the window.


Comfortable room

We were very happy with our one-night stay here! The room was extremely comfortable and clean, we were impressed and pleased when we walked in the door. Definitely an excellent value for the price! The location is good right off the freeway, and yet it felt safe and secure, in close proximity to restaurants and other businesses. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, but it was open until 10am on weekends which I appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to family or friends staying in Stockton, and would definitely return!

Superb Stay in Stockton

We were on a 900 plus mile trip and decided to stay in Stockton for the night.  Due to having to charge the car and stopping to see friends and family along the way, we spent 17 hours in the car.  

When we arrived at 1:30 am, the front desk clerk was cheery, smiling, and treated us as if it was 1:30 in the afternoon.  The room was comfortable, spacious, and quiet.  The hallway was well lit unlike a lot of other hotels.  

The bathroom has large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash made by Dove.  This shows that the hotel obviously cares about the environment.  

The breakfast was hot, plentiful, and the the two ladies that worked in the kitchen (we stayed 2 different times on the same trip) were AMAZING!  Liz and Danielle were both very helpful, struck up a conversation with everyone, and we even saw them helping some other guests figure out how to make some food to go since they had to leave quickly.  This hotel is easy on and off the highway.  The front desk has a list of recommended restaurants within a 15 minute drive.

The only one negative about this hotel is the bathroom door.  The doors have an automatic closing hinge on them and no matter how far you open the door, it closes itself.  Our little dog was almost squished a couple times when she followed us into the bathroom.  The weight of the door with the hinge could cause some difficulty for someone that has some dexterity or mobility concerns.  

Other than the door, our stay was great both nights and we will be staying again.

Amazing Staff

Used rewards points to book hotel and needed to push my reservations back a day. Called front desk and spoke with receptionist regarding pushing back a day and she said she would take care of it.On the day of arrival after driving  eight hrs to the hotel, my wife and  two littles we were deemed a no show because the front desk never processed my request. we were told no rooms were available. And if we wanted a room we would have to pay cash. (Note) the hotel is the one that dropped the ball, not me.I was also never refunded my reward points.

Worst service

We stopped during a long road trip for a move. We had a last minute check in, no issues at all. Room was updated, nice. Perfect for our needs. Breakfast was just right—plenty of options for everyone for a free breakfast. Eggs, premade omelets, sausages, pancakes, croissants, muffins, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt. Parking a rig was tricky, but if you park right in front of hotel (not in front of red curb but still where it says “no parking”), you can go down the road about a half a block and turn around. This is information that is extremely lacking on websites that I think is needed for folks who are doing a move with a U-Haul towing a car. I am no expert at backing up trailers AT ALL but I had no problem doing a U turn down the street a short ways. 

I think Ariel was there at the desk that night (not 100%), but whoever it was, he was polite and accommodating. (Night of 2/26/2020). 

Good stay!

We booked our stay here through AAA and did so because they were dog friendly. The place is extremely dated, grounds and rooms clearly indicate lack of care or up keep. From there it's all down hill.   We observed multiple drug transactions in the back parking lot, rude teenagers smoking pot in the stairwell at 10pm and a loud altercation between four people from 12am to 1:30am resulting in shots fired.  My wife was terrified. If you need rest and security this is not the place.

Do not stay here

Did not realize Motel had a major renovation project underway when we called for a reservation. When we got there the place was pretty torn up. Front desk manager was nice and tried to accommodate us. No rooms were renovated as of yet so we’re old and dark with noisy air con. Have to say our room was clean. We made the mistake of staying on the highway side of the Motel. Highway noise  was terrible all night. The chlorine from the pool was eye watering. Had we not been so tired we would have changed to a different property. Renovation not finished until Sept. 

Renovation

Very good Holiday Inn Express, well above average for the chain. I travel 250 nights a year and appreciate the better properties. Although away from town, I preferred that, as the immediate area was pretty safe.

They were in the middle of a renovation, but it didn’t impact anything. Room was typical, clean, and bright. The freeway is literally a stone’s throw, but with earplugs I slept fine. Gym was above average with great equipment and allowed more the one guest an uninterrupted workout. Pool looked inviting, but I didn’t try it. The breakfast area seems bigger then normal, which is preferred. You don’t get a massive clump of people vying for the same things, you can move around well. Nextdoor was a very good Denny’s and a Taco Bell. I would stay here again as I feel it was a better experience than most Holiday Inn Express properties.

We moved on our tour from Vacaville, CA to Stockton, CA. And someone must move the entire hotel from Vacaville to Stockton too. So nothing special: we slept well, and this time we did not try the breakfast as we had the impression: everything that we did not eat before the last morning in Vacaville was moved to Stockton too. Only the sign that we should not use any part of our body to block the elevator was missing. AND they must refurbish the bathroom. It was very lovely with the new design.
