It was great for the area and the staff were excellent.

We always have enjoyed the location & great price for the last 10 years.

It was an easy and pleasant check in and I'd recommend this property!

I have stayed there many times and have always been treated fairly.

Staff was great! They took care of a concern right away! Room was fine for the short time we were there.

Rodger the person at arrival / checkin was professional and nice to deal with. Breakfast area appears to be small with limited seating.

We are working in the area and have been in several other motels but we will go to this property for the the remainder of the projects . Very nice, quiet property right off the exit. Food within walking distance

Every couple of years I have a business trip to this area and this hotel is really the only one at all close to where I work, so I use it. Over the years it has had its ups and downs, because it is an old facility. It would benefit from a complete renovation but they are so full all the time that they really don't have occasion to make that happen - at least that's my guess. Sometimes the rooms and furniture have seemed worn, but a recent makeover (since the last time I was there) has served them well. And they do care well for what they have. Rooms have been repainted, the furniture replaced, and the carpet removed so it seems cleaner. There are a microwave and refrigerator and plenty of outlets, and good lighting. 

So, what are the basic things: is it safe, is it reasonably clean, is the water pressure good, does the AC/heat work well, can I get a good night's sleep, is the internet connection good. 

So, yes, this hotel seems perfectly safe, in a small town. The clientele is ordinary travelers and workers and the police are occasionally around so I've always felt safe as to my person and vehicle. Parking is free by the way. 

The rooms were clean and kept clean while I was there, cleaned and towels refreshed every day. The water pressure was acceptable, as good as one gets these days in hotels with the mandatory water saving measures. But it is acceptable. 

The A/C works VERY well. I like the room cold and I was able to achieve that. The internet connection was easy to access and fast enough. 

Now - as to getting a good  night's sleep - this time, all was mostly well, but in the past I've had trouble with workers banging around early in the morning and one of my colleagues who joined me had that problem in another room this time (other side of the building). Sometimes there have been big work trucks that they'd crank up and run for a while before leaving. I didn't personally have that problem this time.  

The  only complaint I had is either that the mattress is too soft, or too old..it sagged somewhat at the edges and I was a bit uncomfortable, though I slept acceptably well. 

I don't expect a budget hotel to be the same as a five star hotel. I expect a hotel to provide what it says. This one does. I was satisfied with my stay and will return when the occasion arises.

Quite an acceptable stay!

IT WAS A LITTLE HARD FOR ME TO FIND , THEY NEED TO PUT A SIGN AT THE TURNING ROAD AT HARDEES I PASSED IT TWICE, THEY ARE BEHIND TRACTOR SUPPLY AND THE DOLLAR STORE HIDDEN IN THE BACK , , THE ROOMS WERE AVERAGE NEEDS A LITTLE UPDATE, BUT VERY CLEAN. THE WIFI IS NOT GOOD AT ALL, THE POOL WAS VERY NICE AND CLEAN. THE BATHROOM VENT CONNECTS TO THE TOP FLOORS VENT THAT IS SMOKING AND THE SMELL COMES THRU TO THE ROOMS , SO I WAS PROPERLY GETTING HIGH OFF OF POT AND I DON'T EVEN SMOKE IT . LOL

Room surprisingly big, AC worked really well which in June is very much appreciated.  Water pressure and hot water very quick.  TV could be bigger, no biggie for me.  More lighting would be good since I tend to read books at night vs. tv.  When 1st arrived asked staff to mop floors during the next cleaning, which they were quite accommodating, no issues since 1st day, refrig is larger than cube, so able to keep a lot of food/beverages cold during stay. Rooms quiet, booked up for golf tournament.   Beds comfortable.

Big, clean, cold, and good beds

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the past decade and a half, primarily because it was the only one close to my client’s business. For all those years, the staff have always been quite nice but the hotel itself did not have much to commend it. It was dingy, often in need of painting, not at all attractive. It was a place to sleep and shower. It had deteriorated during the pandemic to the degree that the client recommended we stay up the road about 40 minutes.  But since 2018, when last I was here, and now, there have been significant improvements and the hotel is now much more attractive.  

The staff are as polite and friendly as ever – that has never changed. The reservation was in order. So, what do I look for in a hotel? Is it safe? Is it reasonably clean?  Is the water pressure good? Can you get a good night’s sleep?  Does the air conditioning work well?  Does the internet work well?  I can say that for this hotel, all these are true, but added to this, is has been renovated, with new floors (no carpet), repainted surfaces, and new room fixtures. The room looks good – if you don’t look too close. Some of the fine points were not done well or overlooked but nonetheless, it is brighter, more welcoming and has a cleaner appearance.

As far as safety, I have always felt safe as to my person and my car and the police make their way through the parking lot in this small town from time to time, keeping an eye on things.  The room was relatively clean – some attention could be paid to out-of-the-way places and corners, but all in all, it was clean enough. The water pressure was the best I’ve had in any hotel in a long time. As a matter of fact, I intended to record the name of the company that provided the shower head to consider for my home. The air conditioning worked well – when we arrived, it was not turned on and the room was warm, but it worked well though the compressor cuts on and off quite noticeably and frequently.  It took a white noise fan to cover the noise change that would have kept me up otherwise. I slept well; one of my colleagues staying in another room had trouble with a loud car that was cranked up and left running and rumbled loudly outside one morning. I never heard it – white noise fan, you know. The internet was a little difficult to connect, but I was able to make it happen and once connected, it worked well. 

We did not receive a visit from the maid one day of our mult-day stay, but after that she came through every day. The only complaints I could have are that the cleanliness was uneven, and there is a ridge on the floor between the room and bathroom/shower and you can stub your toe on this – that is one thing that that was not revised in the renovation. One good thing, the bathroom/shower are separate from the sink and the very big counter and mirror, so one person can be working at the sink at the same time another is showering, and both can stand at the counter at the same time. 

The breakfast area is minimal – very minimal, but there is a Waffle House across the parking lot as well as other fast-food places, so it was not a big issue.

This facility is much improved from my last visit in 2018 and I’m grateful. It is much more welcoming. I will return without doubt on my next visit. 


Significant and Welcome Improvement!

This property appears to have been recently remodeled.  Very clean, nice, comfortable beds and in a quiet area.  There is not much in this town to do or eat, but this is definitely a nice, basic place to stay if you want a clean room to lay your head and a clean place to shower.  We were traveling from Ohio to South Carolina, and it is about the halfway point.  We would stay here again.

Our room was perfect for a weekend enjoying Seagrove. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Is was extremely humid in the room (although it was humid everywhere!), but, even the floor was damp. Maybe a dehumidifier??  Will stay there again when we come back to Biscoe. Side note...Blake's  in Candor was  excellent for breakfast!!!

The hotel has obviously undergone some updating and refurbishing. Excellent effort on that. The only snag in the entire stay was just 2 issues. 1. After taking a shower and reaching for a fresh towel above the toilet I saw something in the towel. I was the largest mess of tangled stringy black hair I’ve ever seen. It was imbedded and threaded throughout the towel . It was like undoing Velcro. 2. In room 219 just above the tv to the right up near the ceiling was something , well let’s call it discharge from a person. Maybe snot, maybe “other” , but want ever it was it was about 2-3” long and thin. Almost like someone sneezed on their hand and then flung the snot.

Was the closest place to Uwharrie that we could find without spending to much. The room was fairly clean and recently remodeled though poorly painted. I did notice one of the sheets had a dried crusty stain on it so we didn't use that piece of linen. Overall wasn't bad, offered us a place to sleep out of the rain. Will plan to stay here again as its close to food and restaurants.

Not to bad

Everything was great. The location. The cleanliness. The amenities. The people. Nothing fancy. Just right. We’re planning on stopping there again on our way home. They gave us a room on the ground floor on the side where there was a perfect place to walk my service dog.
