Fairvue Studios

I've been living in hotel for a few months in Springfield until I get set up in this city, and I've stayed at several in this town. I've been at Fairvue for a few weeks now and in my experience, it's the best in town. If you're just staying a few nights, it's higher quality than any other cheap hotel in town. The place isn't trashed or torn apart. If you're looking for a temporary living situation, it's dirt cheap. After taxes it's $140 a week plus a one time security deposit, which totals $208-something. That is insanely cheap. I dare you to find anything under $140 a week if you're staying more than two weeks. And truth be told, most of the people here are long-term. This is a true option for people who can't qualify for an apartment. There isn't a lot of drug deals or police activity like Dogwood Inn for example, it's American owned and operated (so you don't get people yelling at 8:30 in Indian), and the staff leaves you alone. They'll call once a week to see if you need anything, and that's it. And the internet is much better than your higher-priced alternatives as well. Not great, but very useable. I use it for gaming and normal high-volume surfing and downloads, and I have few problems. Location is very north side of town, but past the ghetto. Fast food places and stores are near, though. Don't expect the Hilton, but if what I've described is what you're looking for, I'd recommend it.
