We attempted to stay here but certainly didn't work out. The room had a fair appearance so we thought maybe ... After dining we went back to the room and found no water at all. There is no manager on site so of course we left and checked into a more common motel. Other family thought it was worth a try but not. It appears to be a weekly or monthly rental based on other quests we spoke with. 

Weekend Getaway 

The new owners are not adequate. The management brought in is horrible. There was no notice of stopping monthly rentals and they are now NOT pet friendly. A 30 day monthly rental was now 28 days. 

Was a good place to go if you ended up in a hard place and needed time to find a pet friendly apartment in Spearfish.  I would not recommend with the new owners.

Too many new owners

First of all there was a large clump of hair in the shower when we first arrived, indicating the room had not been cleaned properly. Second of all we were put in room 207 which is located directly below an apartment complex that the owner rents out. The tenants were throwing a party and the noise was extremely disruptive. There were so many people drinking above us and on their balcony that I felt unsafe. The manager on duty said he gave the tenants 2 warnings, nothing changed. We checked out by 9pm and requested a refund which the manager on duty Larry said he agreed was warranted and said he would make sure would be approved. Nearly 2 weeks later I have still not received a refund. I also tried calling the motel in the days following the experience and they would not answer, likely avoiding further communication in order to get out of issuing a refund.

Worst hotel experience of my life

Loved this place. Room was super clean and looked to be recently updated. The furniture was nice and didn’t look cheap. The mattress was a little too firm but for the price and location I really wouldn’t want to complain. It was a little frustrating checking in because no one was at counter and you had to call a number that no one answered. It took 15 minutes for someone to come into the office. Same thing when I went down to the office to add another night.

Woke up to ear bugs crawling on me. When I told the manager he stated he has seen them in some rooms. The place is run down and you could not pay me to sleep there again after that stay. No coffee or any services. Ice machine out of order.

Be ware of bugs

This room I rented was alleged to come with laundry privileges…it did not.  It was alleged to come with a complimentary breakfast, every morning…it didn’t.  It was alleged to have internet access…it didn’t.  I received no clean linen or towels over the duration of time i was there.  The room was initially clean but remained so because I kept it that way.  There was no maid service.

I stayed for two months…recovering from knee surgery, prior to moving  back into my stair laden home, in Spearfish.  Once at Crow Peak, I was ostensibly trapped until I healed.  I’m a single, fully disabled Veteran, with no family.  

Avoid this establishment.  It is being maintained on a skeleton budget by the owner who intends to tear it down in a year.  He owns many hotels locally as well as in Gillette Wyoming and Sheridan Wyoming.  His staff and family will continue to make promises to rectify the problems you may have, then do nothing about them.

It’s a shame this establishment has gone down hill so incredibly.  It used to be probably the finest in town.  It once featured and indoor pool, whirlpool, pool table, ping pong table and locker room/shower…that’s all been torn down.  It also had under its roof a gourmet eatery called Grandmas house..thats gone as well.

It is centrally located in Spearfish, located very near Spearfish Creek and the lovely paved bicycle path which runs through town…to Spearfish Canyon in one direction and to the high school in the other.  There’s a really nice Restaurant called Killians in the immediate vicinity and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This establishment was also, once, wheelchair accessible…it is, no longer.  The infrastructure was there at one time but a lack of interest in maintaining it has led to its demise.

This Hotel was the last of a dying breed….it appears to be well on its way to the graveyard, anymore.

If you require the things promised in the Crow Peak Lodges marketing pamphlets stay away.

This place is a dump.  It appears as an old, old hotel and it was.  We received a text with a code to open a lock box in the lobby for the room key. The room smelled awful. Old cigarette smoke. The floors were either filthy or  scratched and stained  to appear dirty.  We turned around and left.  No one answered the lobby phone to discuss our concern so we left a message to cancel our reservations..  We made reservations at another hotel Eventually someone called back trying to talk us into returning.  
This is the most run down place I have ever seen.

This Place Is Not For Me

My boyfriend and I stayed there March 6th and 7th. My card was charged 3 times. Management said they would get it taken care of but after 3 weeks I am still waiting for my refund. They now won't return my calls. I recommend not giving them your credit card directly if you decide to stay there.

The outside structure is falling apart, the reception is gone, the furniture is stacked up and the receptionist arrives after being called on the phone, after 10 minutes!

House of Adams!

Owners are obviously updating the facility. 
Room 211 I would recommend.  It's a double bed against a wall. You enter 2 separate doors. Very tight shower and a/c unit is located in the bathroom!
Woukd be better used to enlarge with next door room to make a family suite!
Bathrooms are small but furnishings are nice and new. Beds are comfy and room 107 has a ceiling fan!!!
Very clean. 
Has a large deck that could be done up very nicely with plants and potted trees more furniture and a fireplace!! Great family space for the kids to play.
I would recommend staying for the quiet if the beaten path
