Canyon Cabins

The Cub Cabin was cute and just the right size for a couple.  It was very clean and comfortable.  Loved that they added a small Christmas tree

Love staying here! Cannot wait to get back very soon!

The cabin was just as described. We had a wonderful stay.

Quiet and cozy. Nestled up in Ruidosos higher altitude part of town, this collection of cabins provided all of the atmosphere my wife and I needed to officially declare this spot our vacation destination of the year. It will definitely become our home away from home every time we adventure to Ruidoso New Mexico.

The cabin had the bear basics.  Just what you would expect in a cabin.  The worn couch and chair.  The bed was adequate and comfortable enough for a few nights.  The outdoor lights were too much at night and the porch light across the yard shone through the holes of the shades.  It could use a little more spring cleaning of baseboards and the ceiling but it was clean. Water pressure was great.  Deer came around every night and wild horses were in the area too. The cabins are close to each other but we stayed during the week and it was quiet.

We enjoyed our stay! Super cute and cozy but most of all it was super quiet! Loved it there. Definitely will be coming back!

The Eagles Nest cabin was perfect for your family of 4. The pictures posted didn’t do justice. Was hesitant to rent because pictures but when when got there the place was very clean and welcoming. Heater worked great for being that it was 20  degrees. Extra towels under sinks in both bedrooms. We actually like having the sinks in the rooms. We were all able to get ready faster had we only had the bathroom sink. Close to shopping and the town. We will most definitely be going back for a stay.

Our stay was really cozy and comfortable.  It could have used better cleaning as there was lots of dust and spider webs on the fan and light fixtures.  There were also lots of ants on and around the bathroom sink so we were not able to use that area.   The main concern was the heater, it seemed to work well but the smell of gas does get a bit overwhelming we also checked the carbon monoxide detector and learned it was not working, it did not have battery.  I did let the office know and they were very responsive and willing to take care of the issues asap.

Cabin size was good. The cabin had cob webs on the ceilings. Walls and some wall fixtures were full of dust. The trim was also dusty. On our first night we noticed ants on the bathroom sink and they kept coming out through out the entire time we stayed there. On the first day there we were putting up a few things in a cabinet and my husband found a styrofoam container with beans.

Cozy Canyon Cabins

Perfect size for 2 people, a little crowed for 4. Plenty of fresh towels in the bathroom. The Gazebo across the street was nice and deer in the yard was a bonus. However, the carpets need replaced or a good shampooing. Beds were hard and not very comfortable. There is very limited parking, especially for a truck. Super expensive too for the holiday weekend.

We stayed in the Cub. Perfect size for my wife and I. It is on the rustic side, which we loved.Lots of deer roaming around. My wife filled the humingbird feeders with the sugar mix she found in the kitchen and that attracted them.The gazebo with a gas heater and rock fireplace was nice.Ruidoso was a great basecamp to explore the surrounding area.

Fun Time!

This was a nice, peaceful getaway from the city.  Cabins are closer than the pictures show, and I did hear some noise as people traveled to and from their cabins, but it wasn’t bad…and no loud music or noise in the evening, just little kids laughing and playing.  Hummingbird cabin was much larger and more spacious than I expected.  Surrounding area was peaceful and walkable.

Cabin was a good last minute stop as we were driving through Ruidoso. Service was great checking in, as was the maintenance man who stopped by to address some concerns; good response. Cute and quaint cabin, but could use a little more attention to small details: handles on pans were loose, coffeemaker on its last leg, but overall a great stay and decent value.

This is my second time staying here and will not be my last. The cabins are a bit dated but it gives them a real down home cabin feel. Property is well kept and manicured and lots of deer all around. Nice quiet atmosphere for a relaxing vacation.
