This is a solid mid-range hotel, with a standard but tasty included breakfast. The coffee, however, was not typical -- it was terrific!  The room was clean and updated. It's a true mid-range hotel in every sense, low slung toilet, low single sink lav, cardboard toilet paper.  Toilet ran a bit, but not annoyingly so.  Room temp was comfortable and the heat going on and off was not loud or disruptive to sleep. Plenty of clean towels, comfortable beds and bedding.  Blackout shades that don't quite come together to achieve the goal, but that's what binder clips are for.  Can't say enough about the wonderful staff - friendly, professional, lovely from soup to nuts.  A great value, would stay again and recommend!

Professional and friendly staff, clean hotel, great coffee!

My husband and I have a Choice Hotels membership, so made our reservation  to stay here even after a bad experience with one of their other hotels. We are optimistic by nature, so wanted to give it another try. Will say that we were greeted by friendly staff at check-in, the room was very spacious, but everything is quite outdated and basic.Curtains need cleaning and would not close all the way.  The coffee was very good, but breakfast basic hotel fare. We did book last minute as we had to fly out to see our college son who was being hospitalized and going through treatment. When the case worker gave us a discount letter for the hotel, they refused to honor it. This was disappointing and will be contacting the University and Hospital to let them know. I do think that we are now done with Choice Hotels as we have found better places to stay via Tripadvisor and other apps that do better with amenities/price/etc.

Spacious rooms, but basic and outdated

This is a great place to stay.  Staff is friendly, polite and efficient.  Quiet hotel. Good price. Good location and ample parking.  Rooms are a good size. Close to Church & Dorset St.  Good shopping in the immediate vicinity and 2 local supermarkets close by.
Only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is because the rooms need some updates but nonetheless will return.  Hopefully corporate will give this great little gem some $$$.

Ok, this was not what I was expecting at all. First, some background. Booked this place basically because it was one of the cheapest options that had a King with pull out for my kdis. We are in Vermont for 12 days and just spent a fortune on booking the Smuggs Resort. Needed a quick one night layover and didn't want to break the bank. The Comfort Suites holy smokes.....I was expecting Meh but it was WOW this place is really awesome.

You are about miles from the Burlington Airport. Very close to the University as well. 
Lots of shops, Panera Bread are located within a minute or two. Several restaurants within walking distance but we didn't need them because of the free breakfast.

Free parking, free wifi. The rooms are HUGE, HUGE. Each suite has its own living room and a microwave, Keurig, small fridge, and sink. The two sinks are GREAT for kids when someone is in the bathroom and they need to be brushing their teeth. The beds were extremely comfortable and I also loved the linens which sometimes leaves something to be desired. But, they were awesome here. Our room/bathroom was a little dated, but it was clean which for me is more important.

The staff was great. The front desk came out from behind to help bring luggage to our rooms because of trying to get sorted with small children. 

I'm very, very happy with this choice. And, I would book here again the next time we are in tjhis area of Vermont. We travel a great deal and I tend to have the higest of expectations.

Great area ....especially the Shelburne Museuum, La Villa Restaurant is excellent.

The rooms are comfortable & absolutely huge.  Don't take a room in the front though, the floodlights from the Smart Suites Hotel accross the parking lot.

Enjoying Shelburne Vermont area

I've been coming here since 2008 and each time, I have to battle to get up since it is so quiet and cozy!

Huge rooms and bathrooms, immaculately clean, super soft bed, lots of furniture and an amazing staff, always makes each trip perfect! 

Love sleeping here!

Best hotel during my 14 day road trip from DC via Cape Cod and Boston.
Would thoroughly recommend.
Comfortable King Bed providing good nights sleep.
Bar/restaurant 59 yards away proving good wholesome food and drink 

Fantastic Suites 

This Choice Hotel is well situated and in a quiet location with ample parking. Hotel rooms are larger than expected.  
Unfortunately rooms have no control on thermostats (temperature of room unknown)  plus cold air vents can’t be redirected. Directly on you when sleeping.  Rooms need refurbishments.  Breakfast was OK. & went until 9:30 which was great.
Will return and give it another shot.  Will ask for room that has been renovated.

Well Situated. Quiet

Husband and I stayed here for the weekend and prepaid- no refunds. Check in very easy and pleasant. Front desk staff were very nice.  First afternoon upon check in, we found the room freezing- and this is in September. Went to check the thermostat and nothing was coming on. Called front desk, they said it was a centralized system and it was off for now, but they could send up blankets or space heaters. Space heaters are a major fire hazard so we opted for the blankets.  ONE blanket was provided. We both sat under the one blanket freezing on the couch, and then freezing in the bed all night. We would have checked out the next morning if it wasn’t pre-paid. The breakfast was great, everything you could want and the wait staff were very courteous and helpful.

The hotel is showing its age. It was old- the paint, lighting and carpets all dreary.  Front check in/breakfast area is the nicest part.  For $10 more a night, I’d recommend staying somewhere else.

Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids 

We shopped (drove) around to see what was available in the area for the price. I asked prices at Motels (lower range) as well as Hotels of the same level.

This hotel was by far the best deal to be had. The lobby was welcoming with open space views of the dinning area for breakfast. I asked if continental breakfast was included in rate and he said HOT breakfast! 

A nice clean buffet was served in the morning with waffle machines (yum!), eggs, ham, sausages, toast, bagels, english muffins, yogourt, soya yogourt, hard boiled eggs, selection of muffins, selection of cereals, juices, coffee and tea. I’m sure I’m forgetting something!

Our room on the second floor was HUGE! King bed with pull-couch, kitchenette with table, 4 chairs, kitchen counter with sink, coffee machine with pods and microwave. We also have a great view of the blues mountains from afar! 

Bathroom was CLEAN and walk-in shower was clean and ZERO mould. The bathroom looked recently renovated and frankly was a nice big family size! No bath, but who takes a bath in a hotel?? 

Our king mattress was absolutely CONFORTABLE and the kids slept in pull-out couch. The were surprised how well they slept! Lol

Enough plugs in the room to charge all your electronics as extra plugs and USB ports were added to room. 

This hotel is 5 min form all the regular conveniences such as pharmacy, restaurants, grocery store and a bit of shopping. 

Also a 10min drive to downtown Burlington.

We were there for only 1 night and could not have asked for better accommodations!   

There is no pool, but were informed we could use the one at the Holiday Inn as they have an agreement for their guest. They give us towel and all.

I highly recommend this hotel!
