Commodore's Retreat

Just returned from a month of enjoying the sun and warmth of the Florida Peninsula. Commodores Retreat was an ideal location to enjoy the solitude of Northern Florida. The Seagrove Beach area is equal distance from Destin and Panama Beach. There are numerous sites to see and places to eat while staying there.

My husband and I decided to checkout Seagrove in the winter and what a great time we had!
We stayed in #402 At Commodores retreat and we were not disappointed! This condo had everything you could possibly need and had amazing views. The person who wrote a review on this condo September 2016 should give it another try. I can't imagine what they could possibly complain about now we did not see anything wrong with this condo! We will defibetl t stay here again and visiting in the wintertime is great!

Stayed in 205 which looked to be recently updated inside very cute w beachy chic.  View to ocean was perfect.  Only couple issues - elevator was broken entire trip and never saw anyone working on it.  Outdoor furniture cushions needs to be replaced.  Lighting in bathroom was bad.  Would be nice to stock kitchen with few more supplies like dish detergent etc But all in all was nice condo directly on beach

Elevator out of order! We are on 3rd floor, 4 flights of stairs. Has been broken our entire stay. No estimate as to when it will be fixed and no one working to fix it. 
Condo 306 is nice, decent furniture. Parking is a challenge, tight spaces and only one car per condo. Condo 304 is 2BR and excellent. I have lung condition and climbing stairs is a pain. Beach is nice but we won't be back. 

Beware

On our way there we received a call telling us our condo had been flooded and the work was not finished.  Even though I asked, they did not offer us another place to stay.  Many things were not working, such as lights, the spout on the tub was broken, I could go on and on.  The outside was in need of painting, it looked terrible! The parking was a huge problem.

Last summer we stayed there and it was very disappointing!

We have stayed on 30A for many years, renting condos at Dunes of Seagrove, Sugar Dunes and a house on Chelsea Loop. We decided last minute to rent in same area but will not rent again #303. The view is spectacular of the beach here and the beach uncrowded; however the condo had a general musty, dirty feel to it. Open the kitchen cabinets and I would not use any of the pots, pans, etc due to the general mustiness and uncleanliness. The ceiling fans had black soot on them; floor tile in some areas did not meet the walls and there was a wet spot and stain on the living room ceiling. Also, noticed mold on the kitchen ceiling. It literally looked like someone lives there fulltime and decided to pack up an hour before we got there. The decor is sorely outdated which I get that you don't want to update it but the general uncleanliness was hard to bear. The twin beds in the second bedroom are too short for the average teenager. There is plenty of room in there to put two queens. The condo does have spaciousness going for that but that is it! The comforters felt dirty and the blue carpet and kitchen rug are worn and dirty. Also, the condo above us is undergoing renovations which started at 7:30 a.m. weekdays and we weren't told about it. We did go visit that unit and it is going to be fabulous but apparently will rent for $5000 a week. I think those prices are outrageous for Commodore's Retreat. We will not stay here again when we have so many other options.

Commodore's Retreat #303 very disappointing. Will not stay there again.

CR has one thing going for it: it's on the beach. Other than that, our unit (105) had musty and worn furniture, the TV didn't work, the kitchen and bathroom lighting was horrible - running out of room!
