We loved the apartment. Location was fantastic and the place was very clean and comfortable. Will book again!

I always stay here when visiting Savannah.  Close to downtown and River Street. On site parking is great if you’re coming and going. Always clean and walkable to pretty much everything Historic Downtown has to offer.

This place was amazing! Great location, so spacious, and the attention to detail was fantastic.  I am so glad we had the opportunity to stay here.

The hotel is ideally located. I have stayed at this property multiple times. I keep coming back because of it's location, accommodations, cleanliness and size. I love this place

Great location, very comfortable and liveable apartment. We did not cook in, however the kitchen was well equipped!  The only thing was all the steps. It was my bad that I  did not think about that.

The Ogelthorpe Lodge was a perfect getaway as we celebrated our daughters SCAD graduation.It is central to everything downtown Savannah - Riverwalk, Drayton, Girl Scout Birthplace, restaurants,  etc. The accommodation was up to date. The separate living room and large, full kitchen, two bathrooms, all made spending time with family practical. The AC worked which was also fantastic. Extra sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels as well as coffee, cream, and sugar were made available.Easy, simple check-in and personal parking space was a huge bonus!We LOVED our stay!

Perfect Getaway

This home is in the most ideal location for visiting Savannah. It has close location to the Riverfront and easily walkable to all the city parks. We walked Bull street to Forsyth park and back down Abercorn street back to Leopold’s Ice cream and made many stops in between and it was a great day of exploring. The home was spacious and comfortable for our needs. The home was more quiet than I expected it to be being that close to the River Street nightlife. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite 903 and it was huge! So much room to spread out. There were comfortable touches everywhere including a book of dining suggestions and a courtyard area. A bonus is the location, we left our car in the included designated spot and walked everywhere. Very close proximity to River Street. Although there was a restaurant nearby, our suite was well insulated and we never heard any outdoor noise. The suite had two bathrooms! Water pressure was good and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

Comfort and Convenience

Our second time here and hopefully there will be a third and a fourth and more. A great place to use as home base when you are out and about and a great place to stay inside if rain forces you to! Good restaurants surround the Lodge.  Really appreciate the generous cancellation policy. Stairs are something to consider if you are impaired. Restaurant/bar is right next door but didn’t bother us at all. Great experience.

Excellent stay. We wer on the second floor of the three flat building, a two bedroom two bath, and the accommodations were very comfortable. The apartment is well-kept and modern and lots of space. It is very convenient to many restaurants and tours as it is only two blocks from River Street. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect location

This 1 bedroom condo was beautiful, HUGE and had such character! We did have a little issue with the A/C not working, but they got someone out to fix it. Direct TV in the bedroom didn't work and the wifi was terrible. That said, we didn't visit Savannah to watch tv or be on the internet in our condo. There were sweet little touches that they included such as a note on the fridge welcoming us, and mints on the counter and little bottles of sanitizer for us to take.The location of this building was perfect right on Bay street across from River Street where a lot of the action is. We would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect place for our stay.  We took our son, his wife and two granddaughters for a 4 night stay.  Everyone agreed this place was in the perfect spot for everything we were planning to do.  Our favorite thing to do was have dinner on the balcony.   Really felt like we were back 100 years or so.  Property was very clean and beds were comfortable.  Liked there was 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms.;  Privacy is important when traveling.

Loved this place and loved the location.

What we liked about Oglethorpe Lodge was the homelike feel and the large size. Having extra space - so your luggage is not taking up all the floor space, etc. - really makes all the difference. We were in the one BR apt. (with one and a half baths) which is on the third floor so you have to carry your luggage up two flights. But, it was well worth it.  On this hot, steamy Savannah weekend, it felt wonderful to come back to this cool, comfortable apartment. It is also nice to have a free parking spot, which you reach from the alley.  And, of course, the location is excellent!

Believe the positive reviews. It is a positive experience to stay at the Oglethorpe Lodge. The location is excellent. We stayed in the top floor which was the smallest unit, and it was still a very spacious unit with a full bathroom and half bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning works well for those who like it chilly.The stairs are very manageable. I am in my fifties and did not have any problems carrying the suitcases and the beach cooler up and down the stairs.If I had one suggestion, it would be to dump Direct TV and provide cable. But, that certainly is not going to keep us from staying there again if the unit is available.

The property exceeded all expectations!  If you are looking for a "Savannah experience", this is your hotel.  Clean, tons of room, and close to everything that you would want to see and do in Savannah. The property management is helpful and friendly from start to finish.  Will definitely be our place to stay when we return to Savannah.
