Sunset Motel

This was exactly what we needed for our visit. Don’t expect 5star and you won’t get your feelings hurt. It’s in a popular, safe area, where most motels look like this, so it’s not like it’s the outlier. As far as the room goes- it was clean, beds were comfy, no funky smells, and I always appreciate no carpet in a motel. I just gave everything a quick Lysol spray and Clorox wipe and I felt good to go. After a drive up from LA gave us a chance to stretch before hitting downtown. Everything is just a few minutes away. This was the best location. LOVE the fridge and microwave. Great for bringing leftovers back!The very few cons are: It was loud at night because of the street, but neighboring room sounds are non existent which I appreciate. I’m a light sleeper, but the kids didn’t even notice. 2) I wish it had a top swing latch, just for feeling extra safe. 3) Parkings a little tight, but enough. 4) Water pressure was a little low in the morning, but excellent every other time! - don’t forget to bring your own shampoo and conditioner!Overall, this was perfect for our needs. I just didn’t feel comfortable spending hundreds for resort style hotels just to sleep. It was priced right and suited us perfectly. We were up early the next day to head out to the university, so we really didn’t need much from it. Of course I was nervous, but so glad I bit the bullet. Saved so much and was so close to everything. I will definitely consider staying again in the future.
