Second time at this location and same room. Loved it enough to return again. central to downtown Fairfax, within walking distance of 90% of restaurants, bars and cafes. Clean: I took a UV lamp with me; no signs of bugs, clean sheets all is good! I had the king suite caveats: the fireplace does not work, nor does the jacuzzi tub, but it is a nice large tub for soaking!

We booked a double queen-bed room for our family of four. More than adequate for our two night stay. Looking for a five star resort with an in-house spa? This is not the place! It’s a clean and quiet spot to get a good night’s rest after exploring the valley and coast. Room was clean, and beds were very comfortable. No frills breakfast hit the spot; hot coffee and croissants for adults; hot cocoa and cereal for the kids. Big soaker tub and soft, 2-ply TP :)   Owner is very friendly and more than happy to share local intel; she’s lived here for 30 years. We’ll be back for sure!

Heart of Fairfax

A lovely little spot in the middle of a quaint town

This motel was adequate for our needs and was probably worth what we paid. The breakfast was a bag of waters and granola/breakfast bars. The room was clean, the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. Pretty sure all the decorations and bedding was picked out by my grandmother. Great location to shops and restaurants. We walked to a great local coffee spot before we hit the road.

You get what you pay for

"Inn" and "Bed and Breakfast" suggest something other than the motel it is.  If you want the advertised fireplace, ask at booking if it works; ours didn't--and from the peeling sign taped to the fireplace, it hasn't for some time. The TV said "No signal", and the WiFi kept dropping. The advertised amenity of "Continental breakfast" was minimal (host did not even bother to mention it at check-in--probably wise), but there are cafes within convenient walking distance.

Clean but Misleading

A small hotel tucked in the busy downtown of Fairfax. Tight, but adequate parking.  The property is adequate but would be much nicer with a total refurbishment of the rooms.  Smallish rooms with worn furnishings - table rings, frayed carpet.   Breakfast is do-it-yourself and very simple available in the small lobby (one table w/2 chairs). 

Convenient to town; 'tired' property and not sufficiently clean

We were shocked to find no elevator or handicap-friendly features. Also shocked that there’s a 7 day cancellation policy. Who does that?  My husband struggled up & down the long staircase & we were stuck. Staff was friendly, but breakfast was rather skimpy. Only have 13 rooms. Location was convenient for us, but we probably won’t return.

Disappointing

This motel has maybe seen better times, but many years ago! Dark rooms, which really need to be renovated. Dirty floor, dirty bedsheets, dirty bathroom. Very loud neighbors, no privacy. You can not call the breakfast “breakfast”, it’s just long-standing coffee and donats packed in plastic. Open fire place, air condition and WiFi out of order. I can not recommend this motel.

Has seen better times long ago... 

Tried to make a reservation by fone (because they don't recive or have a e-mail (?)) and the person responsable for the reservations, Elizabeth, was really bad. She asked me to say my reservation name (5 minutes trying to say my name) and credit card number before of given me the value of the stay. Ok, I do the reservation, don't recive nothing saying that the reservation was confirmed. After an hour she calls me saying the value that she pass was wrong, and the new value was $50,00 more, because of this and that. Poor hotel reservation.
