What a wonderful time we had! The location is within walking distance to all of the activities downtown, the bed was so comfortable, the property itself is quaint and somewhat secluded from the hustle bustle of the noise of the town. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and the breakfast area to eat in is like being in a French bistro we will be back! PeopleWe do not have a dog yet they make dog biscuits for people who bring their dogs, and that was such a special treat.

Charming B & B with very friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. Location was close enough to downtown and the room was very comfortable.

While the rooms are small, they are well appointed and fresh/clean. The croissants at breakfast are fantastic and the service is quick and friendly. Same with the aperitif hour from 5-6. Good location to walk to dinner and the Thursday farmers market (10 minutes) and to cal poly (20 minutes).

This little gem in the heart of San Luis Obispo is not to be missed. The hotel is comfortable and clean, the service is excellent and, best of all, is dog friendly. They serve a homemade breakfast with homemade dog biscuits. My second time there was even better than the first. We’ll be back!

This place is a treasure, I only wish I would of found it sooner.  They serve a phenomenal breakfast and wonderful pastries every morning.  They also have apertif every evening which is so nice and enjoyable.  Highly recommend for any length of stay.

Petit Soleil was a delightful place to stay for my college tours of Cal Poly SLO. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious (smelling fresh-baked croissants when entering the breakfast room was a bonus!), and everyone working there was lovely! It was a 5-star stay for sure.

Very attentive staff made the stay enjoyable.

Perfectly quaint, tasteful, friendly staff, wonderful food. Will come again!

Perfect Bed & Breakfast French Style

Petit Soleil is a gem!

The positives: I loved the personal feel of this quaint little spot. The breakfast is delicious and included.  The staff is friendly.  Our issues were these: they charged us an extra $80 (!) per night because we had our two teens with us. I didn't even realize that when we made the reservation it was made for 2 people, but it was definitely made for 2 queen beds, obviously a room for 4 people. They told us they would charge us $40 extra per night and I was hesitant but said OK, then saw it was $40 per child, per night. We didn't see this until we got home and had the invoice emailed to us. Our heater didn't work and temps dropped to 30's overnight so we were pretty cold. We told them twice when we got there and they weren't able to fix it until the morning we left. Personally, they should have comped us the $80 fee for the fact that we were cold all night without a heater.The parking is a bit messy as they are doing construction on the building next door (to expand!)

This is the most charming gem of a hotel. The parking is easy. The rooms are reminiscent of a pretty boutique in Paris. Lovely grounds with complimentary wine and charcuterie. Excellent breakfast with room. The staff was exceptional. The place is spotless in a great walking location to downtown shopping & restaurants.

Lovely Little Gem

A truly exceptional and friendly place to spend a few days in slo-chilled san luis obispo. Top of the review must be the staff, who were warm, friendly and helpful and the sort of people who made you feel welcomed and special.  Initial perception of breakfast was slightly underwhelming after the common all you can eat offerings of most hotels… BUT here everything is top class, standouts include the best (homemade) croissants we have ever tasted, a changing daily choice of specials to order including granola, pancakes, french toast and frittata with different mini pastries, hardboiled eggs, orange juice and fruit.  And a great bonus gesture, free hors d’oeuvres and a glass of wine or beer served every night between 5 and 6 in an innovative (very) happy hour to set up an exploration of slo’s many restaurants.  Our los angeles based friends drove six hours to meet us - and they have vowed to return soon - without us.  A rare find

Five stars not enough !

I think the most important aspect about this property is the staff. They are exceptionally friendly & helpful. Jaycee even came to our room to help us figure out how to use the tv. But all of the staff are extremely friendly, courteous & helpful. Only two things I can think of could improve our trip: 1. Having access to regular channels, such as CBS, NBC, ABC & FOX; and 2. I couldn't get the air conditioner to get the room as cool as I like when I sleep. (But that actually may have been just operator error.) We loved the breakfast, the physical facility, and it's location. We very much enjoyed our stay, but most of all, we appreciated our interactions with the staff. They excel.

Mostly Charming hotel on the outskirts of town that is very reminiscent of many places in lovely France. It was mostly quiet. The decor was charming and the quiches and breakfast were really superb. Most staff were really good. It's just that one Staff person was though warm and friendly but a little scoldy about me putting food in the frig. I really paid a lot for this room. I hadn't done anything wrong, and when I tried to explain why this was off putting to staff, they did not exactly get why I found this a tad unpleasant.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  The inn was quaint, with a great location within walking distance to downtown SLO, with clean, well appointed rooms and easy parking.  Your staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant, from allowing us to check in a little early, to providing great service during the evening reception and breakfast.  The food was great, especially the house baked pastries and quiche.

Lovely boutique hotel in SLO. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Loved the aperitif hour with free wine and snacks! Room was cozy and cute. Only issues that we had were the room having a mini fridge, not a full fridge (may have misread this online), and we had to walk up into a neighborhood to take our dog out. Minor things that did not take away from this charming spot. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nice facility and courteous staff.  It is nice that they are dog-friendly for some rooms (though we didn't take advantage on this trip).  The only problem is that there is not enough parking for this number of rooms.  We had to park two blocks away, which shouldn't really be necessary given the room pricing.  There is an adjacent lot which I understand does (or did) belong to the same ownership, but it was blocked off during our visit.
