The Hotel is in a Excellent Location 13 minutes from Sea World, the staff it’s very friendly. The room are very clean, spacious. The breakfast is not bad. Definitely when go back to San Antonio stay in this hotel again.

I know what you're thinking... ewww an Econo Lodge! Well, that couldn't be further from the truth in this case! 

We stayed here in May 2018 for 5 nights. Our rooms were VERY CLEAN. I did not see ANY bugs (as other reviews may have mentioned). In fact, I did actually check the mattresses and seams for any evidence and found none. Each room had a frig and microwave. One of our rooms had a hair dryer attached to the wall in the bathroom area, the other did not, but the sign indicated that they would get anything you needed. (I didn't need one, just pointing that out!). Pool area was sufficient. Not super big but also not super crowed either. The breakfast in the morning- was way more than I expected! They served biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, coffee, juice, muffins and toast. The owners and staff were ALL very nice and very accommodating!  We would definitely stay here again. Oh, and did I mention that it is one of the cheapest (if not THE cheapest) place that I found in the area??? Take a chance! This is an independently owned franchise-- SUPPORT LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS!!! xoxo

i was skeptical about staying here by reading the reviews on the net but decided to check it out, the front desk employee was friendly and showed me the room which was nice and clean. i asked the manager about the negative reviews and was informed that the management of the establishment has changed and they have renovated the motel.

Good Hotel

One bad review every once in a while can turn out to be sour grapes.  The first five reviews on here when I just checked now where all low ratings, so much so that it leads me to believe, especially after staying here, that the high rated reviews are the ones about which to be suspicious.  The first sign that things were bad was the lights wouldn't come on in the room.  The hotel desk clerk fixed some of that, and said he'd be back later to fix the one not working, but he never did.  The coffee pot and the alarm clock were both missing in the room.  And the beds had some of the flattest pillows I've ever seen.  Looked like they'd been there for years.  At least housekeeping did a decent job on the overnight first night (hence a 3 for "cleanliness").  This is a dumpy neighborhood, too.  Saw several disreputable looking teens hanging out in the parking lot.  And on the second night someone fired a gun in the lot.  On Sunday when I checked out the night clerk didn't even say a "thank you" when I handed him the room cards, and I had to ASK for a receipt, or he wouldn't have bothered with that.  I'm sure there are better choices elsewhere.  And next time I'll be sure to check TA first...
