60s feel, clean, friendliness, bar and food.

Staff was great!Pam rocks!!! Diving was awesome. Location great. Tiki bar on site with live entertainment daily! The building is old. But it was a great experience!!!!!

The people were great. It was everything I expected.

The housekeeps is a sweetheart ❤️The owner is awesome!!!! And his employee is too I did not get he name. This location is ideal!!! You can get to anywhere from here. This location is really quiet 😊😊😊Definitely coming back

I enjoyed my stay at the Looe Key Reef resort. The snorkeling was a blast and the boat crew were very friendly and helpful. The view of the canal from the back balcony is pretty. The pool was nice and the tiki bar was fun.

It was a great place nice pool area and the Tiki bar and grill was right next door we ended up staying there for New Year’s Eve and they had excellent entertainment for the evening all in all we will definitely go back there again

I was very pleased with the room overall, the tiki bar had awesome food. My only complaints I had was the live music every night I was there (they did cut off at 930 but I was getting up at 5 each morning) as well as the fact that there was only 1 roll of toilet paper in my bathroom and I searched everywhere and couldn’t find another roll. Wouldn’t have been an issue but I ran out at 230am when no one was around. Otherwise the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable

Very good value

We flew into Key West.  This property is up the lower keys away from the crowded Key West atmosphere.  It is a clean older hotel. There is a large tiki bar which has live entertainment many nights. There is a nice pool.  (There is not much else around, but we went to enjoy the keys beautiful and to snorkel.)  The snorkel trip was recommended to us.  We were not dissappointed.  The reef was really good - Looe Key Reef.

Loved the location of this property. Lower keys with easy access to Key West, Marathon and all the Keys. Restaurant and Dive shop provide all the necessities for the fun adventurer.  Staff is very kind and helpful.  The hotel rooms are nice and Old Florida. Your rooms back door opens to the water canal for great views.  It's not the Ritz and neither is the price.  Love this place and took a swim in the pool to cool off.  Worth every penny for it's location and snorkel and dive options.  Take full advantage of the restaurant... bands were good.

We wanted to spend a few days exploring the Keys, after our cruise. This hotel was a couple hours from the cruise port.  Our rooms were clean, the beds are comfortable and the shower was great.  We enjoyed drinks at the bar while listening to the band. The food is typical bar food. We enjoyed sitting on our back deck and watching the boats come up the channel. 
The coffee in the room was not good, but the hotel is right next to a convenience store, so we walked over and grabbed coffee., and came back to our deck to enjoy the morning.

Dated hotel

This motel is how Florida used to be experienced when my family traveled to the state back in the sixties.  A no frills place that was comfortable and very convenient for trips to Key West and Bahia Honda State Park Beach(a must see!)  Don't expect the frills of a modern hotel and you will be fine.  The view of the canal out the room windows was great along with the patio off each room to have a chill drink. Rooms were large enough and beds comfortable.   Nice heated pool.  The Tiki Bar was a lot of fun where we met interesting guests and locals.  The staff was friendly and engaging.  A shoutout to Pam from TN who was a great resource for both the hotel and the local places, culture, etc.  Loved our stay here.

Old school Florida experience

I really hate doing review cause I don't want others finding out about this place.  LOL Great place.  Not fancy but super clean and so convenient to things we like to do.  I wish they would not allow smoking in the Tiki bar.  Wind always out of the south so there is no place to sit and get away from it. Put some lights in the trees with smoking benches on east side of bldg. People are used to having to go outside to smoke these days.

Room was a little run down but was very comfortable. Pool area was great. Tiki bar/restaurant on property which is very convenient. All rooms have a back balcony as well, I really liked sitting out there just watching the waterway. My daughter and I did the snorkeling trip. Captains Ron and Katie were awesome! Very fun and friendly. Went out of their way AFTER the two snorkeling stops to take us all dolphin and turtle spotting. A truly beautiful experience. Overall, a very nice stay.

Very cool and funky motel. They have on site dive experiences (we didn’t go), a restaurant/tiki bar, and is convenient to other attractions in the area. More low key than Key West, situated just west of Marathon. Small issues with the linen service but being in the business myself I know things can happen. Staff was great!

Looe Key

Monday night karaoke was fun. Tuesday night trivia was packed. Band on Wednesday night was good. Food at Tiki was good. Room was a good size. Two double beds that were a little hard. Only a top sheet on the beds no comforter or blanket. Did find a blanket is the closet. Room cleaning is only available on request. Only two towels and no spare toilet paper. There was a high top table with two chairs that were broken. Normal table and chairs would be better since there is no where to sit. Water pressure was good. Overall we would stay here again it just could be much nicer.

On our 16 day visit to the Keys, this place was the least desirable. Our room was tiny and cramped. The air conditioner didn’t work properly and other people sat outside their rooms partying. It did quiet down at the stated quiet hours except for the music in the bar. Although it’s listed as a resort, there was nothing resort-like about it. We won’t be back.
