Springhill Suites By Marriott Sandpoint

The place was clean and very nice. Only thing that was a negative was $10 parking.

This is a very nice place. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well decorated. Comfortable beds and clean linens. I would stay here again for sure.

Springhill Suites Ponderay has a beautiful lobby with cozy chairs, fireplaces, and a patio with firepits that looks out onto a green space and mountain view. Lovely spot to work or get a glass of wine in the evening. My suite was quite comfortable and roomy with a nice desk, couch,  and mini bar. All the amenities that I needed and convenient to Sandpoint and surrounding recreation.

We have stayed in Sanpoint numerous times and our stay at this lovely new hotel was delighful!. This will be our go to place from now on!!  Thank you so much!

Solid experience in a nearly new hotel. Well delivered.

Fantastic new hotel and used it as our base while skiing nearby hill, fantastic large rooms and bathroom, excellent entrance center with bar and visiting tables chairs couches etc, great morning breakfast options, nice fitness center and pool area, staff were still dialing in the pool chemistry so got our dose of chlorine that weekend, reported our bathroom sink had almost zero water flow but managed it but they didn’t ever get up there to service it during our visit, fantastic place!  They will charge you a 10$ parking fee which is getting a little out of hand, unless your join the Marriott Bonvoy account so try to get out of the paid parking for a “rural” hotel! Was great worth the family!

Such a nice hotel, large rooms, super clean. The couch is the size of a twin bed and has a twin size trundle bed that pulls out under it as well so their double queen room sleeps 6 people comfortable. Highly recommend!

The hotel was very nice and we had a nice stay.  Hotel was clean and nicely decorated.  Room was spacoius and comfortable.  Breakfast was very good with plenty of options.  That being said, was charged an unexpected $10 per night for parking.  That was not part of our Hotel.com agreement and was sprung upon me at check in. I questioned it, but the check in staff assured me that is their policy and I didn't want to argue so just paid it,  but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth.  The parking lot was plenty big with many open spots and we only had one vehicle.  Was very odd to have to pay extra nightly for that and felt that should be part of the stay.  Overall, the place was nice enough I'd stay here again, but I would really appreciate the hotel disclosing all costs up front at the time of booking.

Unexpected charges

Like a lot of people who stayed here (apparently), we were there to check out Schweitzer Mountain. It was perfect for that. About a 20, drive to the base of the mountain.The daily breakfast varied a little bit every day so that was nice to look forward to. The rooms were larger than expected and everything was clean.

Great common area for eating and playing games. Nice indoor hot tub and pool as well as a gym. The room had a nice couch that could sleep several with a trundle bed. The hotel looks and smells new and modern. Breakfast options are plentiful!  Our only complaint was there are not nearly enough hooks in the bathroom. But we would stay here again for sure!

Very impressed with room, customer service to get thermostat working correctly, your breakfast, bar and lobby area are top notch. Our only suggestion is an adult only time in hot tub area because it was always full of children and too small an area to accommodate many hotel guests. Another hot tub outdoors would be a fabulous addition!

We were very impressed with the hotel itself. Wonderful place. Sandpoints best in our opinion. The only thing we’d change is the $10 fee for parking in the lot of the hotel. Never had experienced that before, in all of our years of traveling. Possibly tack that on the room charge without mentioning a fee to park. The general public would accept it much better, with less irritation,  than being charged to park your vehicle in the open hotel lot! After all parking for free means on some side street we assume. Sorry because otherwise we thought this was the best!!!

We very much enjoyed our two night stay. The West Elm designed rooms and public spaces are stunning!It is nice to have spaces to enjoy outside of the room, ie the large patio with fireplaces, etc.The breakfast was a little above average and appreciated.The only disappointment is the reduced cleaning schedule.As an aside, I take exception to the Marriott pet policy.  (One of the most expensive in my experience) Charging extra for my dog ok, but then additional cleaning fees? One or the other please.

Two night stay w dog

Very spacious room. Nice decor, clean and new. However I would think about staying here again. Bathroom had an army of ants in the bathroom they were very small. Like personally did not go into the pool and hot tub but the entire family came back from burning eyes due to the amount of chlorine In the pool. You also have to pay for parking. Which the area we are in seems a far fetch.

Nice property. Don’t think I’ll stay again

This is an amazing hotel! We spent the day at Silverwood and, rather than drive 3-4 hours to get back home, we opted to head to Sandpoint and stay here. The property is beautiful m: brand new, luxurious furnishings, brand new everything…it was tremendous! My kids were blown away by the hotel (“is this a rich people place?!”) and our whole family very much enjoyed our stay and all the amenities.Like everyone else notes, it’s disappointing to have to pay a $10 parking fee, but I didn’t lose any sleep over it. That was the only “con” on an incredibly long list of “pros.” We will absolutely be staying here again!
