Immaculately clean, quiet and peaceful. A warm welcome from the owners, Patty and Gary. Fantastic home cooked breakfasts -- we even got to eat out on the patio by the garden and river. Lots of great suggestions from Patty on what to do in the area -- we were not disappointed!!

Location is everything and this one is great! Off the beaten path, alongside a babbling brook and close to everything. Service was personal and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful house on a river.  House has been completely renovated.  Beds are super clean and comfy, sounds of the river lull you to sleep. Breakfast was great and the hosts are very helpful and nice.  I'll be back.

My husband and I stayed at Little River for three days over Columbus Day weekend.  The B&B is in a beautiful location, with a babbling river just behind the house.  There are Adirondack chairs set on the riverbank so you can sit and enjoy the view.  We stayed in the Treetop room on the third floor, and we could see the river and hear the gentle sound of the river from our room!  Our room was surprisingly big, and very clean, comfortable and quiet.  Breakfast was delivered to us every day at 9 AM, and it was delicious!   I was expecting something simple like a selection of muffins, but we were served hot items like baked French toast or a spinach frittata.  The one drawback was the covid precautions that the hosts took.  We were unable to eat breakfast in the dining room and needed to eat in our room, which took away from the sociability of meeting other guests.  However, there was a table in our room, so it was comfortable to eat there.  All in all, it was a great place to stay, and we will stay there again if we have reason to visit Peterborough again!

We had a delightful stay here in August. The Inn was very clean and comfortable. Patty and Gary were warm and welcoming. There were many touches all over the Inn that showed how much care and thought they put into the guest experience. I can’t wait to go back again!

Had a very nice two-night stay. Patty was a wonderful host, showing us the room and explaining the entry keypad. The room was very comfortable with a TV. As of our stay, the B&B was delivering the breakfasts to the doors of the rooms due to covid concerns. The B&B is next to a lovely stream with chairs and benches to relax in.

We've been anxious about traveling these days, so we were pleased and relieved to know that the hosts, Patty and Gary, are very serious about pandemic precautions. Masks definitely required in public spaces indoors, and they are scrupulous in their cleaning and other precautions to protect their guests. Aside from this, the entire place has clearly had some loving renovations done during the pandemic-enforced down time! Very attractive wall colors, beautiful woodwork -- a very eye-appealing place. As an outgrowth of their precautions, Patty's home-cooked hot breakfasts are served to your room, where there is a nice table for you to enjoy it. I strolled around outside a bit, though the weather was beastly hot, and enjoy sitting in one of their Adirondack chairs that overlook the charming, gurgling Nubanusit Brook (a tribuatary of the Contoocook River). A delightful and relaxing place to spend time. We hope to return someday!

My husband and I stayed there for a weekend to go hiking.  Check in was easy and very informative, she told us about the places to eat there was a super cute robin holiday shopping event that she told us about.  The room was clean neat and warm which was great after hiking in the snow and ice.  The owners were so kind and even went out of their way to make sure I had a fantastic breakfast to eat even though I have several food allergies.  I had not eaten like that in years.  It was amazing.  We will be back one day.

Little River B&B is a perfect place for a getaway. The B&B itself has the charm of a homey cottage but is run with the utmost professionalism by Patty and Gary. Quiet, clean, lots of local recommendations, and absolutely delicious breakfast! I loved the Adirondack chairs in the backyard, spending an early morning listening to the soothing rapids of Little River. 

Little River B&B's location gives you access to tons for a long weekend. Peterborough is an adorable little town to explore -- artsy, a couple local but good restaurants, a brewery, a chocolate shop. Mt. Monadnock is only 15 minutes away if you want to hike, and there's a nice lake with $5 kayaks nearby, as well. 

If you want to get out of the city and enjoy the outdoors, or even just explore a cute town, Little River B&B will give you the home-away-from-home feel.

Went to the Bed and Breakfast to celebrate my birthday and Mother’s Day. Rob and Paula are very helpful. Breakfast is  delicious and the rooms comfortable, clean, and spacious. We will be going back for sure.

Perfect Small-Town Getaway

I'm usually skeptical of anything with all-5-star ratings, but this time it's well deserved. The location and architecture are lovely, reflecting the best of New England. Not sure if the building is old, but it has nice New England character, yet has been completely and very elegantly modernized. No creaky floors or doors, mis-matched furniture, loud furnaces, or overdone decor or fragrances. The local Peterborough baskets put to practical use, are a sign of the hosts' attention to detail and willingness to invest in quality.
We stayed here when the business was relatively new several years ago. The comfortable spaces still look as new as ever.

Excellent ratings fully deserved!

A lovely bed and breakfast right on the river.  Extremely helpful hosts that were eager to give suggestions for places in town to eat supper and shops to enjoy while I was there.  They also had binders of information in the common areas for places you could go on day trips.  I haven't even mentioned the afternoon homemade cookies, yummy three course breakfasts or the kindness to help me up the stairs with my heavy suitcase.  A place I would highly recommend to anyone.  One room is available downstairs, and the other three rooms are upstairs.  

Great location, great hosts, and a place I plan to re-visit!

My husband and I spent a couple of days around the southern NH Lakes region exploring the beautiful lakes.  Peterborough is centrally located and a wonderful quaint town with fabulous restaurants and shops.

We stayed at Little River B & B.  What a great find!  We have stayed at many B&B's across the country.  Little River stands out.  Breakfasts were wonderful.  Paula and Rob pay attention to detail.  One of the cleanest places we have stayed at.

We will definitely stay at Little River again.
