Cute place, direct beach access was nice. Short walk to the Pier. Clean and cozy.

Every room has an assigned parking space within a short walk to your door. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely in a perfect beach vibe. The kids loved the nice clean private pool. Located right next to the beach. Close to everything OOB has to offer. Owners were friendly charming people. A great deal for a great vintage renovated motel by the beach experience!

Family run place, very clean, friendly. Not even 2 minute walk to the beach. Would recommend this place highly. Will definitely stay there again.

Very accommodating hotel. Office was closed when we arrived and they had called us to let us know room was open and we could check in later.  Beds were comfortable and room was clean.  Everything about the place was just right would definitely stay here again and recommend

Close to the beach, quiet and simple for a great off season stay. Would be nice to walk to places if they were open, but it seems everything closes down right around Labor Day. For the price, you can’t complain. Personal parking spot, 1 minute walk to the beach and had plenty of amenities. Would definitely plan to cook some mornings for breakfast and make myself coffee the next time I stayed here rather than venture out for those things. Close to Portland and Biddeford, plenty of great beer and food around!

Solo Beach Stay

This hotel is located right by the beach and near the pier, which is convenient. They offer a parking spot dedicated to your room, which is awesome. The biggest complaint we have is how thin the walls and ceiling are. We were woken up at all hours by our upstairs and side neighbors, even though we slept with a fan and AC on. I can't blame the motel for inconsiderate guests, but it wouldn't have been an issue if the walls were thicker.

Local, Family owned business. Sam was super nice and accommodating. We forgot our beach towels and he grabbed a pair from home to loan us. Unreal… Can’t make this up! Thank you Sam. While the bathroom was snug, the actual room and kitchen are perfect. And most importantly: CLEAN. The rooms worked for us as the focus of our trip was Portland. We drove into the city for brunch, did some sightseeing and came back to recharge at the beach, then went back to Portland for a late dinner. If you’re visiting and plan to be on the move and want the best of both worlds, this place is perfect. So much so, my experience at Echo has redefined ‘Motel’.Amenities: Less then a 1 min walk from the beach (about 30 yards). Kid friendly.Heated pool. Reserved parking. Kitchenette (includes utensils).Walking distance from Old Orchard Pier (7 min walk).Downtown Portland (25 min drive).Portland Head Light (30 min drive).Will be returning later this summer to celebrate my Daughters 5th birthday!

Our 7-day stay at the Echo Motel was wonderful!  Julie & Sam were wonderful hosts and constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable.  Our room was lovely - newly renovated and super clean.  The beds were very comfortable.  We loved the little kitchen which made our stay so convenient.  The beach is just steps away which we thoroughly enjoyed.  We took some road trips to Portland, Freeport, and Kennebunkport as we were so centrally placed to visit them.  We will be back!

Wonderful Stay in May

One of the most amazing family trips we have taken. Our first trip to Old Orchard Beach. We absolutely loved the Echo Motel and cottages . It was quiet, clean, the perfect room setup, and the staff/owners were amazing! They were friendly and very supportive. Can’t wait to book our next family adventure back to Maine with the Echo Motel and cottages.

We took a family trip and stayed for the weekend. The hotel is literally a two minute walk from the beach and only about a ten minute walk from the boardwalk. We also had kids so a group of adults might be able to make the walk to the boardwalk a little quicker lol. The owners were very friendly. Our room was clean and spacious enough for our family of five. The kitchenette was a great bonus and the beds were comfortable. Absolutely would return here

Great Place

Looking forward to our return! Older motel but extremely clean and well kept. On beach side, no roads to cross. New (3 yrs) owners fixing it up. Great location. Nice pool (need sign warning of step-up at pool gate or little wood ramp). 2 minute walk to beach. Recycling bins outside units. Well stocked kitchenettes. Comfy beds. Good air and ceiling fans in rooms. Owners are VERY nice and responsive to guests. We’ll be back!

The owners / staff was great and the rooms were very tidy and clean.  We were in the Old Orchard Beach area for a wedding and the Echo met our needs for the stay well.  It was an extremely short walk to the beach which was a nice bonus since it allowed us a little bit of beach time during a busy weekend when we otherwise would not have had time.  Parking was tight but we did have a dedicated space and the staff found a spot for my daughter for a few hours.  It would have been nice to have larger beds and while very clean, the room was somewhat dated.  I would recommend it for the cleanliness, high level of service and proximity to the beach.

Pleasantly surprised with all accommodations.  Due to unexpected delays, I had to arrive later than the 9:00 deadline for check in; I called the front desk to let them know about my situation and they actually kept the lobby open until my arrival.  That was the beginning of my great stay :-).  Thank you.
