Remington Inn

We took a chance on this motel as the previous review was positive and the rate was excellent. This is a family run business and several individuals were assisting at check in. Check in was very fast, and though it is posted for no pets, they allowed a small dog at no extra fee. Much appreciated!! The gentlemen were very brief and unfriendly though it is likely cultural and unintentional. The rate was excellent, $53 total for two adults, king bed. The room was excellent!! There has clearly been much work done on updating the rooms. Fantastic paint scheme, new vanity, new carpet, furnishing reminiscent of La Quinta properties, New shower walls, mirror, etc. As mentioned below, the only downside was the towels were extremely stained. The tub needed stripped. The bedsheets were thin and obviously not industrial, but comfy nonetheless. The mattress appeared brand new and a pillow top! Best sleep I have had in months, and I stay in hotels 4 days a week. Regarding cleanliness, there was pizza sauce on the wall near the vanity and food on the fridge door; otherwise the room was very clean. Laundry facilities on the property as well if needed. New sheets and a mattress pad, new towels, and more attention to cleanliness would make this an excellent property. Will definitely stay again, though not for the friendliness of the staff or luxury towels.
