We were annual site holders for three years. We were promised each year by management that the park condition would improve. That was crap. Management at that place was a joke. Maintenance couldn’t get anything done for sitting around smoking. If your site was a mud hole, you had to spend your own money to correct it. It has so much potential. The pictures on the website show when it was in its best. Scale of 1-10, I’d give it a 4.

Reasons for leaving.

I want to thank the manager at Lake Myers and Mark McKeithan for setting this stay up for my husband and I. It was nice to be back there if even for a little bit. The cabin was very nice and we enjoyed exploring the area. 

Lake Myers stay

I absolutely loved my stay and recommend paying them a visit. Summertime looks like a blast to stay. My dog enjoyed the walks and new scents. The staff went all out to assist me and see to my needs with courtsey. The tenants were helpful and friendly. Thank you everyone. Sorry we could not stay longer.

A Place to Remember.

Pretty old, narrow, confusing roads, hard to find sewers. Workers were very friendly and helped solve our problems. Place was very quiet during the week, but it's mostly filled with "annual" residents.

Lake Myers a good stopping point

This place is a dump. Do not recommend at all. Anyone thinking of a permanent lot should think twice. They will take your money and not offer any kind of compensation if you have loss of your lot because of their negligence. 

Terrible Experience 

i need someone to call me other then the lady in the office as she wasn't pleasant to deal with i feel like we were lied to and after speaking to other camp ground in the are they said we were over charged.

Nice quiet place.  Friendly staff.  Annual campers helpful and very friendly.  Our dogs enjoyed running in the dog park to let off steam after our travels.  Close proximity to stores to grab groceries and necessities.

I grew up at Lake Myers since 1979 and very disappointed. Where has all the family values gone? Why just stay open to make money but not your campers to be happy? Even heard people in permanent sites complaining and plan to leave. Found two young men in same shower stall having intercourse. WoW!

Needs Major Reconstruction of campground and staff.

I had always heard that this was a really nice campground.  The pictures on the website sure make it look very nice.  However, we were really disappointed.  I wouldn't call this a campground.  It's more of a trailer park.  I'd say that 95% of the campsites are occupied by permanent campers - meaning, they live there all year long.  There are very few actual sites for campers who come and go for a weekend, etc.  So, while you're there, you feel as if you're temporarily setting up in someone's neighborhood.

The roads are extremely narrow and windy.  There are tons of trees.  While pretty (especially this past weekend, they were gorgeous), they make navigating through the narrow roads even more inconvenient.  Campsites have trees on them, too, so you'll have to back your RV in between trees.  If you have a large rig, best of luck to you.  It's a tight squeeze.

Our campsite wasn't in the slightest bit level.  I had to use some good ol' camper ingenuity to make out camper level enough to get by.  Our sewer hookup was UP HILL from our gray/black water tanks.  That was frustrating.

The utilities and hook-ups were all on the ground, not elevated on a post like more campgrounds we've been to.

The onsite camp store, while convenient if you needed something, barely had anything.

Check-in is at 1pm.  We got there at 12:30 and called to the main office.  We were told we would have to wait until 1pm and call back to be let in.  While waiting, a camper arrived at about 12:40 and called the office and was let it anyway.  But we had to wait for some reason??  So, we called again and they let us in finally.

This campground would be sooo much better if it was 90% campers and 10% annual site people.  But no, this is nothing less than a trailer park.  We will NOT return.

But on the plus side, there was tons of activities for halloween and that was fun and done very well.  So I do give credit for that.

One of the worst Thousand Trails we have stayed in since we joined in June unlevel site, dirty, hook ups on the ground, need of a lot of repairs, road thru is terrible, dumpster placement need to be spread among the campground
