As experienced B&B customers we now have an addition to our list of the very best inns we recommend to friends and family.  Barbara and Jim have created a wonderful place to offer their guests. The combination of absolutely marvelous grounds with a superb location and one of the best interior layout and furnishings I have seen resulted in a superb experience.  These folks know how to be innkeepers. They should offer a class to other B&B owners.  They attended to every detail to make this a very special stay.  I highly recommend staying at Harmony Hill.

Stayed one night whilst on a road trip through the Blue Ridge Mountains, Barbara and Jim were great hosts and their house and gardens beautiful

We happened upon this beautiful Bed And Breakfast accommodation by chance on the web site after travelling part way along the Blue Ridge Parkway. As we drove up to the property the house took our breath away. Set in its own grounds with a wrap around porch we could see the mountains close by. Inside was luxurious and Barbara and Jim were warm, friendly and welcoming. As there were a couple of rooms available, she allowed us to choose which room suited us best. It was perfect for our 2 night stay. Wine, cheese, grapes etc were served on the porch at 5pm for all guests. Barbara was knowledgeable about the local area (and beyond) and provided lots of information in our room. Breakfast was superb, and I was thrilled that Barbara was able to provide me with a hot cup of tea, the first I'd had in the USA. We Brits like a cup of tea in the morning. We were treated like family and our only regret is we couldn't stay longer but we have our memories. We are returning to USA in 2 years and hope to be able to stay with Jim and Barbara in their beautiful home again.

My family and I had the pleasure of spending a night at the Harmony Hill B&B while we attended my son’s high school graduation. The Halsey’s truly went above and beyond, Jim carried our luggage to our rooms, and because we were running late but needed to eat dinner Barbara texted a local restaurant to give them a heads up that we were on our way and in a bit of a hurry.
We had two rooms, one was a king and the other a twin, they were both spotless, which, truth be told is all that really matters to me. I can tolerate most things for a night, dirty accommodations isn’t one of them.  Again, our rooms were very clean.  And lastly, breakfast...I’m not sure what was better, Barbara’s cooking or Jim’s serving. 😀 

This is the golden image you picture when planning to stay at a Bed and Breakfast. Charmingly decorated, quaint but luxurious, in a beautiful, peaceful setting. This is everyone's fantasy of what a B&B should be like. The service is the best I've ever experienced - and I travel a lot. Will definitely return!

I had the most comfortable stay at Harmony Hill that I ever experienced in a B&B.  Barbara and her husband are the quintessential hosts, making one   feel so welcome and truly “at home.”  The bedrooms are so beautifully furnished with all the comforts of home, including fully equipped shower amenities and even some books to read.  After a good nights sleep, breakfast was the morning treat.  A hugely generous breakfast with homemade sour dough bread!  I, the weary traveler, was revived and on my way to a new day.  This B&B has a warm and welcoming ambiance that you will be unlikely to forget!

Everything was Beautiful our accommodations were so lovely warm and comfortable the location is gorgeous and the owners were the essential examples of Southern charm and hospitality the morning breakfast was delightful delicious and yummy a must try!
