If you're looking for the Hilton Hotel you won't find it. What you will find is a clean well priced motel with friendly staff and sufficient rooms.

Yo be a small hotel 8/10 very clean and plp very nice

Arrived in the evening. The service was great. The room was a little dated but the bed was comfortable. It had ac works great the shower is hot. I’d stay again.

I call for booking online because I would be towing a trailer behind my pickup and needed a place to park. The lady said they had room for me to park my truck and trailer. When I arrived the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was very quiet around the hotel so I got a really good night sleep. I would most definitely stay there again.

It’s not a new property by any stretch of the imagination and things are worn down however it’s very clean and the staff is super nice and attentive.  Phenomenal value for the money.

I've seen a couple reviews representing this hotel negatively but I thought I'd give my opinion since I recently stayed here.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay within reach of both Topsail and Emerald Isle I highly recommend Coastal Motel. My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it went up and beyond in customer service. When I first booked my stay here it was said that the check in time was 2PM, however my brother and I had arrived very early and when we explained this to one of the ladies they said it wasn't an issue and that we could check into our room whenever we wanted. Another amazing thing that occurred was that when our tv wasn't working they willingly offered us another room with no extra charge. 

There a few downsides to staying here but they're pretty minor, wifi has the tendency to come and go so if you're actively on your phone or tablet you may not enjoy that, there isn't a laundromat so if you need to wash your clothes you'll have to go to the closest coin laundry, and lastly there's a strip of road that constantly has cars driving past it, so if your a light sleeper you may not enjoy that. Apart from these minor things I really did enjoy my stay here it really accommodated well for me.

It was convenient for me to get it. However the tub was lower then the floor my husband almost fell because of the difference of the level 's . I'm glad I was there to catch him. Overall the place was what I expected.

I will start this off by saying I have pretty high standards when it comes to hotels. (Area, sketchiness, cleanliness.) I stay at Coastal Motel every time I visit my husband who is at Camp Johnson. It’s a fair price for a basic stay. Nothing fancy, nothing bad. Only complaint I have is one of the times I stayed there, there was a huge roach. (Had my husband kill it lol) I’ve had the same room every single time though and that’s only happened once. Area isn’t bad. Base is literally right across the street. Gas station and food lion just a small walk away. Traffic is pretty harsh at all times. (You WILL hear cars and sirens every single night but that’s just Jacksonville and it’s easy to get used to.) Definitely recommend if you are on a budget and visiting a loved one at Camp Lejeune.

For cheap room it was clean and what we expected. Only thing we didn’t like was 2 double beds were really 1 double bed cut into. Not enough room for me and my husband to move without falling out of the bed lol but we made due and enjoyed our beach try. I would use again for sure. Gives us more money to spend on our beach trip

Just what I was looking for !

The room in which I stayed in had zero registers for ventilation into the room. The room air was stuffy. The bathroom was updated and clean. The mattress was really comfortable. The front desk is the room service. A major plus was a full guide of premium cable channels to view.All in all Id rate my stay a 6 out of 10.

Antiquated motel

Last summer(2016) I submitted a review for this place, now I feel a 2nd review is needed since we've just completed our 4th visit to the Coastal Motel. My husband and I are truly happy to have found this place!! Our beach weekends have increased due to their reasonable summer time rates! Rooms are very basic but they have been consistently clean and comfortable. After a day at the beach all we need is a place to pop open a bottle of wine, shower and get a good night sleep so we can hit the beach again🦀🐚

We were lucky to find such a great price on holiday weekend !! The inside of the rooms are great, nice sized bathroom. Did not like how close to highway! Smoking and non smoking rooms are available, and they also offer room service. Bring your own towels! 18 miles to the beach walking distance to bars.

This Hotel Does the Job

the place was older but basically very clean. did not have smoke smell nor nasty chemical smell. carpet was older but basically clean. looks like they have kept up with painting to keep things fresh looking. area was older and seemed a little seedy, but everything was quite fine. worth staying at.
