Amazing accommodations in the Carriage House suite.  Perfect for a quick family outing with daughter and granddaughter at home from college week. Well appointed-good-looking furniture and spacious layout, very clean. Friendly and welcoming service was a highlight of the stay.

We absolutely loved this inn!  The staff was incredible and the food was absolutely amazing. Would recommend and we will definitely be back.

They make your breakfast for you when yoy come to the dining room and its included in the price.  Very quaint inn.  I would definitely come back!!!

We loved Town and Tide   We were doing a college visit at URI and this was the perfect home base   It was cleam, cozy and convenient  There are great restaurants and shops in walking distance.  Parking was super easy and so was check in  

My only knock was the tv in the bedroom wasn’t loud enough to hear but that is so small and silly 

The breakfast was delicious!   

We will definitely stay there again

We had an amazing stay at Town & Tide Inn. The hostess was very welcoming & informative. The Inn was very clean and charming. They served us a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit! We truly appreciated the the wonderful service, will definitely be coming again during the warmer months!

Mother daughter trip

We got away for a last minute mom & daughter overnight to Newport and found Town & Tide.  We loved every moment there.  Our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and had everything we needed.  The breakfast in the morning was delicious and all of the staff we met were friendly and helpful.  We will definitely be back again!

Last minute getaway

We lucked out when they had an opening and snagged it. The inn keeper was so friendly. We got to check in early. On site parking. The room was very clean and well stocked. Bed very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was phenomenal. Overall, 10/10 experience. Would def go back. Oh and is very close to cliff walk and downtown!

NYE getaway

We stayed at Town & Tide for one night during the weekend before Christmas. We were greeted upon arrival and guided where to go to check in. Our hostess explained how everything worked and brought us to our room, showing us around there, as well. The property is clean, organized, and easily walked through. The garden area is beautiful, even in winter. We were instructed that there would be hot cocoa in the shed after check-in, but we had plans and missed that. Still, the shed is charming and a great place to hang out outside your room. Breakfast in the dining room in the main building was a wonderful experience. On top of the coffee, teas, and juice available, as well as yogurt, fruit, and granola, we were served blueberry French toast casserole with bacon and fresh fruit. It was delicious! Check out was no fuss. We liked it all so much that we’re returning in April. Thank you!

What can I say....the stay at Town and Tide Inn was perfect. My wife and I stayed here on Christmas Eve - 2024. Location is ideal: walking distance to many Newport sites (mansions, Audrain Auto Museum, International Tennis Hall of Fame, National Sailing Hall of Fame, Cliff Walk, etc). Rooms are bright, airy and comfortable. Parking (a premium in Newport) is no cost to customers, and the breakfast - fabulous. The added warming "Shed" was great for a hot cup of coffee on a cold night. We will be coming back to Town and Tide on our next overnight (or longer) stay in Newport.

Ideal stay in Newport Rhode Island

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  Our room was bright, spacious, and clean.  The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was newly renovated and beautiful.  The breakfast was incredible and the Innkeeper Mara w a s charming and accommodating.Would definitely recommend and would love to return for a longer stay.

I enjoyed myself so much I was sorry I didn’t book a second night. Our room was immaculately, clean the bedding and linens were top notch. I did not expect the bathroom and shower to be so spacious and the finishes were excellent. The breakfast was very good, but I would suggest giving people The option of two choices for breakfast.

Bedding and Bathroom were Great.

Nice house with good shower. Excellent breakfast. We woke up to a cold room on our first day on the 3rd floor and noticed the heat was turned off—only air conditioning on. We mentioned it to the staff and they said they could turn heat on for the 2nd floor and the heat would rise: that helped a little. We were offered an extra blanket that helped but did not warm the bathroom. Another problem was room 3. The door did not set in the frame allowing the light outside the door to directly shine into the room all night long. We had to hang a towel on top of the door and use clothing to block most of the light.

Absolutely wonderful stay at Town & Tide! The staff provide 5 star service and attention to detail. They are hospitality experts, checked in often and went the extra mile to ensure we had a great stay (wrapped up a breakfast, provided early check in, etc). There is a gorgeous pond and plenty of places to sit and relax in the well shaded courtyard. The shed is another sitting area set up with amenities for guests that we enjoyed. The rooms themselves are comfortable, modern, and impeccably clean. The property location couldn’t be better if you’re looking for central but not noisy. You can catch the free shuttle bus one block away. Parking at the inn is convenient. We will definitely return!

Maria, Kathy and the rest of the staff were welcoming, kind and helpful. Breakfast was outstanding all 5 days we were there! The rooms were tastefully decorated and updated well. The property was very centrally located on the main street, therefore we were able to walk to the beach and downtown within 20 min. My only complaint would be that our room stayed extremely cold and we were unable to easily adjust the thermostat. We loved our stay at Town&Tide Inn and would definitely recommend to anyone interested in a Newport B&B!!
